Adenomyoma of the common hepatic duct

Journal of Gastroenterology, 1995
A very rare case of adenomyoma of the common hepatic duct is described. A 54-year-old woman was admitted with impending obstructive jaundice secondary to adenomyoma of the common hepatic duct. Our impression, formulated from her clinical presentation, endoscopic investigations, and biochemical and radiological findings, was a cancer of the proximal ...

Nontraumatic Perforation of Common Hepatic Duct

Archives of Surgery, 1965
IN 1882, JOHN FREELAND 5 described the first case of nontraumatic perforation of the common hepatic duct. Since then, only eight cases have been reported. When confronted with two cases within a six-month period at St. Luke's Hospital, we felt that a report of these two cases and a brief review of the previously reported cases would be of special ...

Neuroendocrine tumor of common hepatic duct

Indian Journal of Gastroenterology, 2012
Extrahepatic bile ducts (EHBD) remain one of the rarest primary sites for neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) accounting for 0.1 % to 0.2 % of all NETs of the gastrointestinal tract. We present one such case, a 28-year-old female with vague abdominal symptoms and periportal lymph node enlargement on radiological examination.

Compression of the common hepatic duct by the right hepatic artery

Clinical Imaging, 2005
Magnetic resonance (MR) cholangiography has been used wildly as preoperative examination before laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LSC). However, cases that suggested the stenotic lesion of extrahepatic bile duct are not so rare in MR cholangiography. When stenosis is found, further examination is needed to avoid the possibility of bile duct cancer.

HEPATICODUODENOSTOMY FOR STRICTURE OF THE COMMON HEPATIC DUCT

Archives of Surgery, 1948
THE MAJORITY of strictures of the bile ducts are of traumatic origin, that is, injuries that occur during operation on the biliary tract. There are a number that occur as a result of inflammatory conditions, or they may be caused by the presence of a stone in the common duct.

Interposition of the gallbladder — or the absent common hepatic duct and cystic duct

Pediatric Radiology, 1987

The patients present with jaundice, abdominal pain and sometimes an enlarged gallbladder. Radiological diagnosis may be difficult since the condition may be mistaken for a choledochal cyst, hydrops of the ...

Intrahepatic Diverticulum—Common Hepatic Bile Duct

Archives of Surgery, 1964
A technique for the removal of gallbladders and anomalies of the biliary ducts which are totally intrahepatic has rarely been described. Early attempts to excise these structures were complicated by hemorrhage from the liver. A drainage procedure has usually been considered the safest method of management.

Visualization of the hepatic ducts and common duct with choledochus stasis

The American Journal of Surgery, 1929
Abstract 1. 1. Visualization of the hepatic ducts after development of duodenobiliary fistula is relatively a rare phenomenon, regardless, of spontaneous or operative causation. 2. 2. Low-grade disease of the liver, which invariably results from internal biliary fistulae, may or may not give definite clinical evidence.

Paraganglioma of the common hepatic duct.

The American journal of gastroenterology, 1984
A case of paraganglioma arising in the common hepatic duct is reported. The patient presented with obstructive jaundice. At operation, a soft mass, 5 X 2 X 1.8 cm, was found firmly adherent to the intraluminal surface of the common hepatic duct. At cholecystectomy, exploration of the common hepatic duct was performed and the mass was partially removed.
