Notes on Hepaticae. II

Gemmae, quite different from the ones found in certain other mem- bers of the genus, have been found in a Riccardia which appears to be a member or close ally of the R. pinguis complex. An isolate of male plants from Ponape, Caroline Islands, has been studied in culture.
