Boron Nitride Nanomaterials Trigger Immunomodulatory Effects in Human Broncho‐Epithelial Cells by Modulating Eicosanoid Lipid Signaling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that BNNT exposure disrupts lipid homeostasis in bronchial epithelial cell cultures and activates eicosanoid lipid biosynthesis, producing inflammatory lipid mediators like leukotrienes. These effects are more pronounced in asthmatic cell cultures compared to healthy ones.

Integrin β3 Orchestrates Hepatic Steatosis via a Novel CD36‐Dependent Lipid Uptake Complex

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In MASH, ITGB3 recruits LYN and drives its ubiquitin‐proteasomal degradation via phosphorylation. This relieves DHHC5 inhibition, enabling ITGB3/DHHC5/CD36 complex assembly to enhance CD36 palmitoylation and fatty acid uptake, thereby exacerbating disease. Targeting ITGB3 blocks this pathogenic axis and ameliorates MASH.

Evaluation and Immunogenicity of Combined Liposome-Based Vaccine Candidates against Hepatitis E and B Viruses in Rhesus Monkeys

open access: yesVaccines
The administration of vaccines using a combination approach ensures better coverage and reduces the number of injections and cost. The present study assessed liposome-complexed DNA-corresponding proteins of hepatitis E and B viruses (HEV and HBV) as ...

Genome‐Wide CRISPR Screen Reveals PIK3CA Inhibition Enhances Lipid Nanoparticle‐Mediated siRNA Delivery

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A genome‐wide CRISPR screen and identifies PIK3CA as a key regulator of lipid nanoparticle (LNP) uptake is performed. Modulating PIK3CA with small‐molecule inhibitor BAY1082439 enhanced LNP uptake, siRNA delivery, and gene silencing in a variety of epithelial cells, and improved therapeutic outcomes in vivo.

Hepatitis B [PDF]

open access: yes
Viral hepatitis is a term commonly used for several clinically similar yet etiologically and epidemiologically distinct diseases. Hepatitis A (formerly called infectious hepatitis) and hepatitis B (formerly called serum hepatitis) have been recognized as
