Nuclear Expression of Hepatitis B Virus X Protein Is Associated with Recurrence of Early-Stage Hepatocellular Carcinomas: Role of Viral Protein in Tumor Recurrence [PDF]
Background: Hepatitis B virus (HBV) plays well-known roles in tumorigenesis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in infected patients. However, HBV-associated protein status in tumor tissues and the relevance to tumor behavior has not been reported.

Hepatitis B antigen in prostitutes. [PDF]
The hepatitis B antigen (HB Ag) carrier rate was studied in a sample of 293 prostitutes in Athens, and 379 women of similar age and relatively low socioeconomic level served as controls. HB Ag was detected in thirteen (4.4%) of the prostitutes and thirteen (3.4%) of the controls, a difference which was not statistically significant.

Electrofocusing of Hepatitis B Antigen
Summary Hepatitis B (Australia) antigen was isolated from normal serum proteins by gel filtration and electrofocusing. The latter technique revealed a heterogeneity of the small spherical particles associated with hepatitis B antigen activity, there being a variance in determined isoelectric points according to the serological subtype studied ...
