Abstract Background CD163 is a scavenger receptor predominantly expressed on the surfaces of macrophages in various mammalian species and is a marker of anti‐inflammatory (M2‐like) macrophages. High density of CD163‐positive tumor‐associated macrophages (TAMs) is associated with worse prognosis in various patient tumors.

Se presenta una observación excepcional de hepatocarclnoma pediculado que asentaba en un parénquima hepático previamente alterado (esteatosis masiva). Planteamos como hipótesis que su origen asiente en un lóbulo aberrante del hígado dado las dimensiones enormes adquiridas por el tumor.

ECCFP: A consecutive full pass‐based bioinformatic analysis for eccDNA identification from long‐read sequencing data

A new bioinformatics pipeline called ECCFP has been developed to improve the detection of extrachromosomal circular DNA (eccDNA) from long‐read sequencing data. ECCFP uses all consecutive full passes from individual reads for candidate eccDNA identification and consolidates candidate eccDNAs to generate accurate unique eccDNA.
