Meta‐Analysis: Mortality Trends and Risk Factors in Severe Alcohol‐Associated Hepatitis
This systematic review and meta‐analysis of 34 studies including 1586 patients with severe alcohol‐associated hepatitis found pooled mortality rates of 26.8% at 28 days, 35.1% at 60 days, and 43.7% at 90 days. Cumulative Bayesian analyses showed no credible improvement in short‐term mortality across the past four decades.
