Hepatozoonosi felina: una parassitosi emergente

L’hepatozoonosi felina è una malattia parassitaria cosmopolita del gatto domestico e di alcuni felidi selvatici causata da protozoi appartenenti al genere Hepatozoon. Le specie responsabili dell’infezione nel gatto sono Hepatozoon felis, Hepatozoon silvestris e Hepatozoon canis. Si tratta di una malattia emergente, poco conosciuta e sottovalutata.
