Prenatal toxicity of heptachlor in albino rats.

open access: yes, 1995
Exposure of the cyclodiene insecticide heptachlor at 1/8 and 1/4 LD50 to male and female albino rats before mating affected fertility in both sexes. A decrease in implantations, serum oestrogen and progesterone levels and increase in resorptions in the ...

Excretion of Heptachlor Epoxide in the Milk of Dairy Cows Fed Heptachlor-Sprayed Forage and Technical Heptachlor

open access: yesJournal of Dairy Science, 1955
Summary No heptachlor or heptachlor epoxide was detected in the milk of cows fed hay made from forage sprayed with 3.8 to 8.0oz. of heptachlor per acre and harvested 7 days after spraying. Heptachlor epoxide was detected in the milk of a cow fed 1.3mg. of heptachlor per kilogram of body weight.

Blocking actions of heptachlor at an insect central nervous system GABA receptor

open access: yes, 1990
The actions of the polychlorocycloalkane insecticide heptachlor, and its epoxide metabolite, were examined on GABA receptors in insects and vertebrates. Electrophysiological experiments on the cell body of the cockroach (Periplaneta americana) fast coxal

Isotherm and kinetic studies for heptachlor removal from aqueous solution using Fe/Cu nanoparticles, artificial intelligence, and regression analysis

open access: yes, 2019
This study was conducted to investigate the removal efficiency of heptachlor from aqueous solutions using bimetallic iron/copper (Fe/Cu) nanoparticles. The highest removal efficiency of 99.3% for heptachlor compounds was achieved at pH 7.0, bimetallic Fe/
