Holocene climate oscillations, seismotectonic events and human–environmental interactions reconstructed from the Giannades palaeolake on Corfu (Eastern Mediterranean, Greece)

open access: yesJournal of Quaternary Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The Mediterranean is particularly sensitive to rapid climate changes (RCCs) during the Holocene. An increasing number of natural climate archives revealed that socio‐economic developments were influenced by such RCCs since the Palaeolithic. However, multi‐millennial and high‐resolution archives are still rare and often located in mountainous ...

Theory of Elastic Vector Meson Production [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
The elastic production of vector mesons at HERA is discussed from the theoretical point of view. We briefly review different models, their successes and shortcomings. Main emphasis is put on recent issues in perturbative QCD calculations.

Chemical Ionization Mass Spectrometry: Fundamental Principles, Diverse Applications, and the Latest Technological Frontiers

open access: yesMass Spectrometry Reviews, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The review examines the evolution of chemical ionization mass spectrometry (CI‐MS), a technique developed in 1966 by Field and Munson. CI is a soft‐ionization method that produces more intense molecular ions with less fragmentation than electron ionization (EI).

Enhancing Lipidomics With High‐Resolution Ion Mobility‐Mass Spectrometry

open access: yesPROTEOMICS, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Lipids, indispensable yet structurally intricate biomolecules, serve as critical regulators of cellular function and disease progression. Conventional lipidomics, constrained by limited resolution for isomeric and low‐abundance species, has been transformed by ion mobility‐mass spectrometry (IM‐MS).

Resistance to UV Irradiation Caused by Inactivation of nurA and herA Genes in Thermus thermophilus

open access: yesJournal of Bacteriology, 2018
Many nucleases and helicases are engaged in homologous recombination-mediated DNA repair. Previous in vitro analyses in archaea indicated that NurA and HerA are the recombination-related nuclease and helicase.

Beauty production at HERA

open access: yesThe European Physical Journal C, 2004
We present new and recent results on beauty production in electron proton collisions at 300-318 GeV centre-of-mass energy. The cross sections measured by the H1 and ZEUS experiments at HERA are compared with perturbative QCD calculations.

Could we learn more about HERA high $Q^2$ anomaly from LEP200 and TEVATRON? R-parity violation scenario [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
The excess of high $Q^2$ events at HERA reported in the early 1997 by H1 and ZEUS collaborations has become the subject of extensive studies in the framework of several models related to new physics.
