Intorno alla circolazione del mito su Eracle in età imperiale

open access: yesLexis, 2023
The fifth Imago of Philostratus Minor, which portrays baby Heracles’ struggle against the snakes sent from Hera, appears to be inspired by two Pindaric works (Nem. 1 and *Pae. 20).

Neurophysiological Responses to Extra Virgin and Refined Olive Oils: A Pilot Study Combining Flavor Profiling, Electroencephalogram, and Standardized Low‐Resolution Brain Electromagnetic Tomography

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 3, March 2026.
This study presents an integrated chemosensory approach combining electronic nose and electronic tongue systems with chemometric analysis to characterize the sensory properties of refined olive oils. Multivariate modeling revealed clear discrimination among samples based on aroma and taste profiles. The results demonstrate the potential of sensor‐based

Evaluation of Odor and Physicochemical Properties in Sheep Placenta Processed With Different Drying Methods

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 3, March 2026.
This study evaluated the effects of hot air drying, baking, and vacuum freeze drying on the quality of sheep placenta. Results showed that vacuum freeze drying better preserved the product's color, microstructure, and essential amino acid content while significantly reducing fishy odor.

Development of a Duplex Digital PCR and Validation on eDNA Water Samples for Monitoring of the Asian Swamp Eel (Monopterus albus/Javanensis) and Bullseye Snakehead (Channa aurolineata/Marulius) in Florida, USA, Freshwater Ecosystems

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 2, February 2026.
The Asian swamp eel and bullseye snakehead are two invasive organisms in Florida of ecological concern. In this study, a multiplex digital polymerase chain reaction (dPCR) assay is developed, optimized, and validated on water samples for environmental DNA (eDNA) analysis and monitoring. ABSTRACT Invasive species are a significant threat to a variety of

Microimaging Spectroscopy of Carbonaceous Chondrites and Comparison to the Spectral Diversity of Asteroids

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Planets, Volume 131, Issue 2, February 2026.
Abstract Primitive asteroids and carbonaceous chondrites (CCs) record the history of processes in the early solar system. Visible and shortwave infrared (VSWIR) spectroscopy of primitive asteroids and bulk‐powdered CCs has identified shared spectral features suggestive of shared parent body origins.

Characterization of the pattern of development of key compounds contributing to aroma quality of chicken meat and their metabolic markers

open access: yesAnimal Research and One Health, Volume 3, Issue 4, Page 420-431, November 2025.
The graphical abstract shows the principal results of this study. Eight major aroma‐contributing compounds (nonanal, octanal, dimethyl tetrasulfide, hexanal, 1‐octen‐3‐ol, (E)‐2‐nonenal, heptanal, and (E,E)‐2,4‐decadienal) were identified by electronic nose and GC‐O‐MS analysis, and their content increased with age.

Methodological Framework to Select Evaluation Criteria for Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis of Road Transportation Fuels and Vehicles

open access: yesEnergies, 2022
Studies applying Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) to evaluate Road Transportation Fuels and Vehicles (RTFV) rely on a wide variety of evaluation criteria and appear to lack a structured and consistent way of criteria selection.
