The influence of polyamine and polyamine inhibitors in herbaceous peony postharvest physiology

Indian Journal of Plant Physiology, 2018
By spraying the exogenous polyamine spermidine (Spd) and the polyamine biosynthesis inhibitor d-arginine (d-Arg) in cut Paeonia lactiflora flowers, the dynamic change of superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), malondialdehyde (MDA), soluble protein, endogenous polyamines and endogenous hormones were studied.

Rescue and in vitro culture of herbaceous peony immature embryos by organogenesis

Scientia Horticulturae, 2017
Abstract Herbaceous peony (Paeonia lactiflora Pall.) is a landscaping plant that has considerable development prospects worldwide. However, its embryo dysplasia severely limits the breeding of high-quality P. lactiflora cultivars by the cross-breeding method. In this study, the immature natural hybrid embryos of P.

Anatomical and biochemical analysis reveal the role of anthocyanins in flower coloration of herbaceous peony

Plant Physiology and Biochemistry, 2016
Herbaceous peony (Paeonia lactiflora Pall.) is particularly appreciated because of its elegant and gorgeous flower color, but little is known about the underlying mechanisms of flower coloration. In this study, three P. lactiflora cultivars 'Xuefeng', 'Fenyulou' and 'Dahonglou' with white, pink and red flower were selected as the materials.

Cryopreservation of somatic embryos of the herbaceous peony (Paeonia lactiflora Pall.) by air drying

Cryobiology, 2006
This study was carried out to establish a suitable method for the cryopreservation of somatic embryos of the herbaceous peony. The somatic embryos were obtained from cotyledon and anther cultures on a MS medium supplemented with abscisic acid (ABA) and phenylacetic acid (PAA), respectively. The frequency of somatic embryo formation was the greatest (61%

[Textual research on Chinese herbaceous peony in Chinese classical prescriptions].

Zhongguo Zhong yao za zhi = Zhongguo zhongyao zazhi = China journal of Chinese materia medica, 2020
In this paper, the name, origin, producing area, harvesting and processing changes of Paeonia lactiflora used in classical prescriptions were studied by textual research of herbal medicine and field investigation. Chinese herbaceous peony wasn' t distinguished before the Northern and Southern Dynasties; Tao Hongjing proposed that there were two kinds ...

Microtubule-associated protein PlWDL2 positively promotes stem strength in herbaceous peony

Planta
Silencing the microtubule-associated protein PlWDL2 in herbaceous peony led to a decrease in stem strength by affecting xylem development. Stem strength is an important factor affecting the quality of herbaceous peony (Paeonia lactiflora Pall.) cut flowers. To investigate the effect of microtubule-associated proteins on P.
