Development and adoption of Kernza—A perennial grain crop for sustainable agriculture
Annual cereal grains account for ~50% of human food calories, but cultivation of these crops has resulted in major environmental and social issues worldwide. For nearly three decades, researchers have been breeding intermediate wheatgrass—a perennial cool‐season grass—to serve as the world's first commercial‐scale perennial grain crop to improve ...

Herbicide florpyrauxifen-benzyl via drone with different nozzles and spray volumes for weed control in rice crops [PDF]
: With a projected population of 9.7 billion by 2050, agricultural production is undergoing a process of intensification and seeking to adopt sustainable practices. In line with Agriculture 4.0, drones increasingly spray agricultural pesticides on crops.

Genotype‐by‐environment interaction shaped soybean seed stability under contrasting insecticide regimes. Seed longevity emerged as a stable, management‐relevant trait under pest pressure. High‐pressure, no‐insecticide conditions improved discrimination of tolerant genotypes for integrated pest management deployment.

Using ecoinformatics to evaluate the impact of crop and herbicide rotations on herbicide intensity
Maize fields with cotton in rotation receive lower herbicide application than fields without cotton. Abstract BACKGROUND Crop rotation is a central component of integrated weed management (IWM) under real‐world conditions, yet its impact on herbicide use remains unclear. To address this challenge, we developed an ecoinformatics‐driven analysis approach

Impact of Application Temperature on Broadleaf Herbicide Efficacy
Cold air temperatures at the time of herbicide application are generally thought to decrease efficacy of systemic herbicides. Contact herbicides such as carfentrazone and sulfentrazone combined with systemic herbicides may provide an increased level of ...

Could adjuvants serve as an agroecological tool?
Adjuvants are agrochemicals or natural substances, commonly mixed with pesticides to increase their efficacy or reduce off-target movement by modifying the physical properties of the spray solution, such as surface tension, droplet size, and ...
