CO2 Fluxes and Soil Responses to Straw and Herbicide in Peanut

open access: yesLand Degradation &Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Peanut cultivation plays an important agronomic role in Brazil, especially in rotation with sugarcane, promoting biological nitrogen fixation and improving soil quality. This study aimed to test the hypothesis that the combined use of sugarcane mulch, peanut cultivation, and herbicide application would affect soil CO₂ fluxes, soil chemical ...

Hyperspectral signatures reveal hidden stress in soybean caused by residual nicosulfuron

open access: yesNew Plant Protection, EarlyView.
Residual nicosulfuron in soil triggers a distinct injury–regulation–collapse trajectory in soybean. Multimodal phenotyping combining hyperspectral, UV‐MCF, and chlorophyll fluorescence imaging enables early, non‐invasive detection and dynamic monitoring of latent herbicide stress, offering a mechanistic basis for risk assessment in crop rotation ...

An Evaluation of Herbicides for Broadleaf-Weed Control in Rapeseed: Efficacy, Phytotoxicity, and Soil Persistence Studies [PDF]

open access: yes, 1984
At the recommended rates (1.0 lb/A for trifluralin, ethalfluralin, EL5261; 0.75 lb/A for dinitramine; 1.2 lb/A for nitrofen), none of the herbicides we evaluated in these studies reduced rapeseed stands, yields, or test weights. However, at higher rates (

Modifying Antibiotic Activity of Synthetic Thiadiazine Analogs Against MDR Bacteria and ADMET Analysis

open access: yesChemistryOpen, EarlyView.
The study demonstrated that thidiazine compounds potentiated the action of antibiotics. The compounds associated with norfloxacin against S. aureus showed greater significance in relation to the other medications. The indiscriminate use of antibiotics has led to the selection of resistant bacterial strains, significantly reducing the effectiveness of ...

Design, Synthesis, Cytotoxicity Assessment, and Molecular Docking of Novel Triazolopyrimidines as Potent Cyclin‐Dependent Kinase 4 Inhibitors

open access: yesChemistryOpen, EarlyView.
A novel series of 1,5‐dihydro‐[1,2,4]triazolo[4,3‐a]pyrimidines (5a–g) is synthesized and evaluated as potential CDK4 inhibitors. Compounds 5c and 5d exhibit strong cytotoxicity toward HepG2 and MCF‐7 cells with IC50 ≈ 1–2 µM, comparable to doxorubicin.

Herbicide impacts on exotic grasses and a population of the critically endangered herb "Calystegia affinis" (Convolvulaceae) on Lord Howe Island [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Introduced perennial grasses are capable of altering the habitat of native species, causing reductions in population size and vigour, and potentially affecting life-history processes such as survival, pollination and seedling recruitment. We examined the

Comprehensive Insights into Natural Bioactive Compounds: From Chemical Diversity and Mechanisms to Biotechnological Innovations and Applications

open access: yesChemistryOpen, EarlyView.
Natural products derived from plants, animals, fungi, bacteria, and minerals contain diverse bioactive classes such as alkaloids, flavonoids, terpenoids, saponins, tannins, and phenolics. These natural products work through different mechanisms, including ROS inhibition, NF‐κB suppression, and cytokine regulation, and exhibit wide applications across ...

Removal of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid and 4-chloro-2-methyl phenoxyacetic acid herbicides from aquatic environments by a novel polymer magnetic nanoparticles

open access: yesسلامت و محیط, 2020
Background and Objective: Increased use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers in agriculture in order to increase the productivity of fertile lands has led to pollution of water resources with a variety of pollutants, including herbicides. In this study,
