Herd Behavior in Financial Markets

open access: yesInternational Business Research, 2013
This paper provides a rational microstructure model in which informed traders have private information on multi-dimensional uncertainties and it is possible for the herd behavior to occur. In the herd phase, informed traders choose to trade in the same direction regardless of their private signals.

WS2 Optoelectronic Memristive Reservoir Enabling Ultra‐Low‐Power, Multi‐Task, and Environmentally Stable Neuromorphic Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
WS2‐based in‐memory sensing reservoir computing integrates sensing, memory, and computation in one compact device. It achieves ∼94% N‐MNIST, ∼93% eye motion perception, and ∼89% speech recognition with ultra‐low energy (∼25.5 fJ/spike). The system shows stability at 95% humidity, endurance over 1.5M cycles, and supports synaptic plasticity, enabling ...

Physics‐Informed Machine Learning for Sustainable Alloy Design: Toward a Recyclable Unified Q&P Steel

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A physics‐informed property‐bridging framework links high‐throughput hardness screening to tensile performance in quenching and partitioning steels. By transferring metallurgically guided representations across properties, a single alloy composition is designed to achieve multiple strength grades through heat‐treatment tuning alone, offering a ...

Vigilance behavior of pyrenean chamois Rupicapra pyrenaica pyrenaica: Effect of sex and position in the herd

open access: yesCurrent Zoology, 2010
The Pyrenean chamois Rupicapra pyrenaica pyrenaica is a mountain-dwelling ungulate with an extensive presence in open areas. Optimal group size results from the trade off between advantages (a reduction in the risk of predation) and disadvantages ...

Conceptualizing Peer Effects of Corporate Social Performance on Corporate Financial Performance

open access: yesSustainable Business and Society in Emerging Economies
Purpose: Existing approaches to explaining the dynamics of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and corporate financial performance (CFP) through peer effect are incomplete as they do not conceptualize the complexity of the phenomenon.

Architecture‐Controlled Hierarchical Carbon‐Based Current Collector for Mitigating Interfacial Instabilities in Lithium‐Metal Anodes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A defect‐engineered, hierarchically porous carbon black/CNT current collector guides lithiophilic nucleation in 3D architecture. Steam‐created defects enable uniform Li plating, while CNTs provide conductivity and a lightweight framework, suppressing dendrites and side reactions for stable anode‐free cells.

A Humanized Anti‐gD Broadly Neutralizing Antibody Confers Complete Post‐Exposure Protection against Pseudorabies Virus

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Pseudorabies virus (PRV), an emerging zoonotic α‐herpesvirus, causes life‐threatening human encephalitis. We identified a broad‐spectrum neutralizing antibody 6F7 targeting PRV gD. It blocks gD‐Nectin‐1 binding and membrane fusion, inhibiting replication across all PRV variants, representing a promising candidate for anti‐PRV therapy.

Behavioral and Biological Bases of Herding and Conformity

open access: yesBasic and Clinical Neuroscience Journal
Humans are inherently complex creatures, and this issue became even more complicated when they decided to construct social relationships. Research into human behavior is an interdisciplinary and multifaceted endeavor studied by various disciplines, such as psychology, economics, sociology, anthropology, and neurosciences. Today, with the cooperation of

Beyond Percolation: Graphene‐Enabled Network Reinforcement Enhances Thermal Transport in Paraffin Phase‐Change Composites

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Expanded‐graphite/graphene‐nanoplatelet hybrids deliver a near‐order‐of‐magnitude thermal‐conductivity enhancement in paraffin phase‐change materials. A microCT‐informed 3D modeling framework resolves the percolating EG backbone and captures sub‐voxel GNP enrichment, quantitatively linking microstructure to heat flow and revealing a graphene‐enabled ...
