Hermite Interpolation on a Simplex

open access: yesIzvestiya of Saratov University. New Series. Series: Mathematics. Mechanics. Informatics, 2018
Summary: In the paper, we solve the problem of polynomial interpolation and approximation functions of several variables on an \(n\)-dimensional simplex in the uniform norm using polynomials of the third degree. We choose interpolation conditions in terms of derivatives in the directions of the edges of a simplex.

Poly‐Ether‐Ether‐Ketone Melt Behavior in Fused Deposit Modeling Printing Moves

open access: yesPolymer Engineering &Science, EarlyView.
A thin solidified layer forms at the print bed during FDM of PEEK, reducing the effective shear height and raising the effective shear rate above the nominal value. Surface defects emerge once the effective shear rate exceeds a critical value of approximately 750 s−1.

Interpolating Industrial Robot Orientation with Hermite Spline Curve Based on Logarithmic Quaternion

open access: yesXibei Gongye Daxue Xuebao, 2019
Smooth orientation planning has an important influence on the working quality and service life as for industrial robot. Based on the logarithmic quaternion, a compact method to map a spline curve from Cartesian space to quaternion space is proposed, and ...

Terrain Synthesis and Authoring based on Iso‐Contours

open access: yesComputer Graphics Forum, EarlyView.
Abstract Digital terrains are central to realistic landscape depiction, yet authoring tools must balance perceptual realism with intuitive artistic control. We propose a compact vector‐based representation that models terrain as nested iso‐contours, inspired by geomorphology and cartography.

Tubes or Ribbons? Comparing Texture‐space Visualization for Multivariate Line Data

open access: yesComputer Graphics Forum, EarlyView.
Abstract Multivariate line data is critical for analyzing flow fields, agent systems, and dynamic trajectories. Embedding secondary variables along spatial paths using surface‐based primitives such as ribbons and circular tubes introduces challenges related to perspective, scale, and distortion.

C1 triangular Coons surface construction and image interpolation based on new Side-Side and Side-Vertex interpolation operators.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2020
In this paper, a new class of rational quadratic/linear trigonometric Hermite functions with two shape parameters is proposed. Based on these Hermite functions, new improved first class of Side-Side (FCSS), second class of Side-Side (SCSS), first class ...

Extended Jensen’s Functional for Diamond Integral via Hermite Polynomial

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces, 2021
In this paper, with the help of Hermite interpolating polynomial, extension of Jensen’s functional for n-convex function is deduced from Jensen’s inequality involving diamond integrals.

Parallel Vectors Extraction using Bézier Clipping

open access: yesComputer Graphics Forum, EarlyView.
Abstract In this paper, we propose a novel local feature extraction algorithm for the parallel vectors (PV) operator. Our method is based on BĂ©zier clipping, which is a bracketing‐based root finding method that is commonly‐used in computer‐aided geometric design.
