Observations of Reduced Ventilation in Meridional Overturning Circulation: Evidence From Physical and Biogeochemical Changes in Repeat Observations Along 110°E

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Oceans, Volume 130, Issue 10, October 2025.
Abstract Two hydrographic voyages conducted 56 years apart (in 1963 and 2019) along 110°E in the southeast Indian Ocean reveal significant long‐term changes in water mass properties. We focus on physical and biogeochemical changes in Subtropical Water (STW), Subantarctic Mode Water (SAMW), and Antarctic Intermediate Water (AAIW)—key components of the ...

Global Picture of Lunar Basalt Chronology Based on the Automatic Classification of Craters

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Planets, Volume 130, Issue 10, October 2025.
Abstract One major pathway for studying lunar volcanism evolution is to construct a timeline for the emplacement of basalts. The crater size‐frequency distribution (CSFD) is a pivotal method for dating lunar basalt units. Building upon two previously published lunar impact crater databases (diameters ≥1–2 km), this study integrated these databases and ...

On the complex Hermite polynomials

open access: yesFilomat, 2020
In this paper we use a set of partial differential equations to prove an expansion theorem for multiple complex Hermite polynomials. This expansion theorem allows us to develop a systematic and completely new approach to the complex Hermite polynomials.

A distributed model predictive approach for network traffic signal control using multi‐objective dynamic programming

open access: yesComputer-Aided Civil and Infrastructure Engineering, Volume 40, Issue 24, Page 3953-3978, 6 October 2025.
Abstract Real‐time traffic signal control (TSC) in road networks remains challenging due to variable traffic flows and high computational complexity. Existing model predictive control (MPC) approaches often face several limitations, including the reliance on commercial solvers, the inflexibility of single‐objective optimization, and the use of ...

On the degree of approximation of the Hermite and Hermite-Fejer interpolation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1992
Here we find the order of convergence of the Hermite and Hermite-Fejér interpolation polynomials constructed on the zeros of (1−x2)Pn(x) where Pn(x) is the Legendre polynomial of degree n with normalization Pn(1)=1.

Expressing Sums of Finite Products of Chebyshev Polynomials of the Second Kind and of Fibonacci Polynomials by Several Orthogonal Polynomials

open access: yesMathematics, 2018
This paper is concerned with representing sums of the finite products of Chebyshev polynomials of the second kind and of Fibonacci polynomials in terms of several classical orthogonal polynomials.

On real and imaginary roots of generalised Okamoto polynomials

open access: yesJournal of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 112, Issue 4, October 2025.
Abstract Recently, B. Yang and J. Yang derived a family of rational solutions to the Sasa–Satsuma equation, and showed that any of its members constitutes a partial‐rogue wave provided that an associated generalised Okamoto polynomial has no real roots or no imaginary roots.

L1-norm convergence of Hermite-Fejér interpolation based on the Laguerre and Hermite abscissas [PDF]

open access: yesRendiconti di Matematica e delle Sue Applicazioni, 1994
: Convergence results are proved for Hermite–Fejér interpolation at the zeros of polynomials orthogonal with respect to generalized Laguerre and Hermite weights. These results can be applied to convergence of product integration rules.
