Fourier Transform of the Orthogonal Polynomials on the Unit Ball and Continuous Hahn Polynomials
Some systems of univariate orthogonal polynomials can be mapped into other families by the Fourier transform. The most-studied example is related to the Hermite functions, which are eigenfunctions of the Fourier transform.

Theoretical enhancement of the Gaussian filtering of engineering surfaces [PDF]
This study is an extension of the current use of Gaussian filters to smooth surface texture waveforms. It suggests an extension using Hermite polynomials to improve the definition of boundary lines and edges in the geometry of structured surfaces, and to

Generalised Hermite–Gaussian beams and mode transformations [PDF]
Generalised Hermite-Gaussian modes (gHG modes), an extended notion of Hermite-Gaussian modes (HG modes), are formed by the summation of normal HG modes with a characteristic function $α$, which can be used to unite conventional HG modes and Laguerre-Gaussian modes (LG modes).

Compressive Sensing Approach in the Hermite Transform Domain [PDF]
Compressive sensing has attracted significant interest of researchers providing an alternative way to sample and reconstruct the signals. This approach allows us to recover the entire signal from just a small set of random samples, whenever the signal is sparse in certain transform domain.

The monitoring of respiratory rate is a relevant factor in medical applications and day-to-day activities. Contact sensors have been used mostly as a direct solution and they have shown their effectiveness, but with some disadvantages for example in ...

Transformation of a Hermite-Gaussian beam by an Airy transform optical system
Analytical expression of the Airy transform of an arbitrary Hermite-Gaussian beam is derived. The optical field in the x-direction of the Airy transform of Hermite-Gaussian beams with transverse mode number m is the sum of the zero-order derivative to mth-order derivative of the Airy function with different weight coefficients.

MULTIPLIERS OF LAPLACE TRANSFORM TYPE FOR LAGUERRE AND HERMITE EXPANSIONS [PDF]
We present a new criterion for the weighted Lp-Lq boundedness of multiplier operators for Laguerre and Hermite expansions that arise from a Laplace–Stieltjes transform.

Test for Linearity in Non-Parametric Regression Models
The problem of checking the linearity of a regression relationship is addressed. The test uses nonparametric estimation techniques. The null hypothesis is that the regression function is linear; it is tested against the non-specic alternatives hypotheses.
