A phase‐change magneto‐optical metagrating combines GST switching with InAs guided‐mode resonances to achieve strong nonreciprocal absorption contrast near normal incidence. A static magnetic bias creates direction‐dependent resonant splitting, while GST crystallization quenches and latches the response.

On curves covered by the Hermitian curve, II
We classify, up to isomorphism, maximal curves covered by the Hermitian curve \mathcal H by a prime degree Galois covering. We also compute the genus of maximal curves obtained by the quotient of \mathcal H by several automorphisms groups. Finally we discuss the value for the third largest genus that a maximal curve can have.

1 W Single‐Mode Large‐Area Edge‐Emitting Laser via Non‐Hermitian Spatial Mode Filtering
We demonstrate a non‐Hermitian spatial mode filtering approach for achieving high‐power single‐mode operation in large‐area edge‐emitting laser diodes. By symmetrically coupling passive filter arrays to the main lasing waveguide, higher‐order transverse modes are effectively suppressed while preserving the fundamental mode.

A picopatch in a plasmonic nanocavity confines the electromagnetic energy to tiny effective volumes, close to 1nm3, leading to extreme electric field enhancements.
