Non‐Hermitian Topological Lattice Photonics: An Analytic Perspective

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, EarlyView.
This review establishes exact analytical solutions for non‐Hermitian Hatano–Nelson, Su–Schrieffer–Heeger, and generalized Rice–Mele models. We demonstrate non‐Hermitian skin effects via point‐gap topology, hybrid skin‐topological edge states in 2D lattices, and spin‐polarized boundary modes governed by dual bulk‐boundary correspondence.

On the conformally k-th Gauduchon condition and the conformally semi-Kähler condition on almost complex manifolds

open access: yesCubo, 2021
We introduce the k-th Gauduchon condition on almost complex manifolds. We show that if both the conformally k-th Gauduchon condition and the conformally semi-Kähler condition are satisfied, then it becomes conformally quasi-Kähler.

Isospectral Hamiltonians from Moyal products [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Recently Scholtz and Geyer proposed a very efficient method to compute metric operators for non-Hermitian Hamiltonians from Moyal products. We develop these ideas further and suggest to use a more symmetrical definition for the Moyal products, because ...

Effects of Extreme Mirror Downscaling on Open Micro‐Fabry–Perot Spectral Responses and Resonant Mode Profiles

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, EarlyView.
Extreme miniaturization of Fabry–Perot cavities has severe impacts on their spectral response and spatial distribution of the resonant modes. A fully analytical methodology is proposed accounting for the finite borders of the micromirrors to predict this behavior. Model validation relies on comparing with measurements obtained on silicon micro‐cavities

Joint power control and user grouping mechanism for efficient uplink non‐orthogonal multiple access‐based 5G communication: Utilising the Lèvy‐flight firefly algorithm

open access: yesIET Networks, EarlyView., 2023
We utilise a metaheuristic optimisation method, inspired by nature, called the Lévy‐flight firefly algorithm (LFA), to tackle the power regulation and user grouping in the NOMA systems. Abstract The non‐orthogonal multiple access strategies have shown promise to boost fifth generation and sixth generation wireless networks' spectral efficiency and ...

Topological Singularities and Edge‐State Coupling Enable Robust on‐Chip Slow Light

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates the first experimental observation of a topological quantum‐interference‐like effect in a 1D on‐chip system, utilizing two topological mechanisms for robust slow light. Topological charges ensure immunity to parameter deviations, while edge states provide robustness against disturbances.

On locally conformal Kähler space forms

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1985
An m-dimensional locally conformal Kähler manifold (l.c.K-manifold) is characterized as a Hermitian manifold admitting a global closed l-form αλ (called the Lee form) whose structure (Fμλ,gμλ) satisfies ∇νFμλ=−βμgνλ+βλgνμ−αμFνλ+αλFνμ, where ∇λ denotes ...
