Columna lumbar y hernias discales

open access: yesCiencia & Salud, 2017
El núcleo pulposo tiene la función de absorber la carga axial sobre la columna vertebral y transfiere la energía al anillo fibroso, de tal manera que dicha carga de convierte en una fuerza de compresión a estrés, permitiendo la transmisión de energía del

Amyand's hernia: a rare inguinal hernia [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Surgical Case Reports, 2013
Inguinal hernia repair is commonplace in general surgery practice and an estimated 700 000 are performed each year in the USA. The presence of the vermiform appendix contained in the hernia sac, or an Amyand's hernia, is exceedingly rare, occurring in 1% of inguinal hernia patients.

Senolytic Therapy as a Preventive Strategy for Spine Degeneration and Pain

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cellular senescence promotes inflammation, tissue degeneration, and chronic back pain. In sparc‐null mice, early oral administration of the senolytic agents o‐vanillin and RG‐7112 reduced senescent cell burden and pro‐inflammatory SASP signaling across intervertebral discs, endplates, vertebral bone, and spinal cord.

Appendix in Inguinal Hernia—Amyand’s Hernia [PDF]

open access: yesIndian Journal of Surgery, 2013
Inguinal hernia containing vermiform appendix as its content is termed as Amyand's hernia. Though an unusual condition, however it is important for the radiologists as well as the surgeons to be aware of this entity especially if the herniated appendix is inflamed so as to avoid delay in treatment and decrease the associated morbidity and mortality.

Transferable Deep Reinforcement Learning With Edge‐Contour‐Depth Fusion for Autonomous Wireless Capsule Endoscopy Navigation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents an anatomical landmark‐guided DRL framework for autonomous wireless capsule endoscopy navigation. Using a lightweight edge‐contour‐depth fusion module, it achieves over 97% coverage across diverse gastric anatomies. To ensure reliability, a two‐stage sim‐to‐real pipeline with an adaptive dynamic programming controller mitigates ...

Targeting Dnmt3a/m5C/RelA Axis Attenuates Microglia Inflammatory Response and Improves Postoperative Recovery in Chronic Compressive Cervical Spinal Cord Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A pro‐inflammatory microglial subset persists after decompression in chronic compressive cervical spinal cord injury and shows enhanced Dnmt3a‐driven m5C signaling. By stabilizing RelA mRNA, this axis sustains NF‐κB activation and postoperative neuroinflammation.
