This study was designed to understand which factors influence consumer hesitation or delay in online product purchases. The study examined four groups of variables (i.e., consumer characteristics, contextual factors perceived uncertainty factors, and medium/channel innovation factors) that predict three types of online shopping hesitation (i.e ...

Vaccine Hesitancy in Pediatrics
Advances in Pediatrics, 2022Vaccine hesitancy is a growing complex and multifaceted phenomenon. It encompasses a wide spectrum of context-dependent attitudes and beliefs. Multiple factors influence parental decision-making including knowledge, sources of information, risk perception, trust, and individual experiences among others. This review focuses on describing the most common

Pediatric Annals
Vaccine hesitancy has increased in recent years, driven by misinformation, shifting public discourse, and declining trust in traditional medical guidance. Pediatric clinicians are increasingly tasked with addressing parental concerns related to vaccine safety, ingredients, adverse effects, and perceived necessity.

Exact dwells can exist only in synthetic motion such as that of cams. Generated motion such as that of linkages can only produce approximate dwells. This paper defines such approximate dwells as “hesitations,” reduces them to theory, then proceeds to develop techniques for designing mechanisms to produce approximate dwells of various degrees.

On Hesitant Fuzzy Clustering and Clustering of Hesitant Fuzzy Data
2017Since the notion of hesitant fuzzy set was introduced, some clustering algorithms have been proposed to cluster hesitant fuzzy data. Beside of hesitation in data, there is some hesitation in the clustering (classification) of a crisp data set. This hesitation may be arise in the selection process of a suitable clustering (classification) algorithm and ...

Hesitancy Histogram Equalization
2007 IEEE International Fuzzy Systems Conference, 2007Extending our previous work on intuitionistic fuzzy histograms [1], we introduce the concept of hesitancy histogram and its application for enhancing low-contrasted images. The hesitancy histogram is based on intuitionistic fuzzy numbers using an entropic optimization criterion.

Hesitant but vaccinated: Lessons learned from hesitant adopters
VaccineThe WHO SAGE vaccine hesitancy working group defined vaccine hesitancy as the delay or refusal of vaccination. Questions about individuals who become vaccinated while hesitant, or remain unvaccinated even though they are not hesitant, are unimaginable when starting from this behaviorally related definition of vaccine hesitancy.
