Leaps and bounds towards scale separation
In a broad class of gravity theories, the equations of motion for vacuum compactifications give a curvature bound on the Ricci tensor minus a multiple of the Hessian of the warping function.

Uniqueness and Liouville type results for radial solutions of some classes of k-Hessian equations
We establish a uniqueness theorem and a Liouville type result for positive radial solutions of some classes of nonlinear autonomous equation with the $k$-Hessian operator. We also give some interesting qualitative properties of solutions.

Optimal solution error covariance in highly nonlinear problems of variational data assimilation
The problem of variational data assimilation for a nonlinear evolution model is formulated as an optimal control problem (see, e.g.[1]) to find the initial condition, boundary conditions or model parameters.

On the curvature estimates for Hessian equations [PDF]
The curvature estimates of $k$ curvature equations for general right hand side is a longstanding problem. In this paper, we totally solve the $n-1$ case and we also discuss some applications for our estimate.

Hessian approximation in multilevel nonlinear optimization [PDF]
This research concerns the algorithmic study of Hessian approximation in the context of multilevel nonlinear optimization problems. Methods using finite-difference approximations or secant equations are here considered.

Primal-dual interior point QP-free algorithm for nonlinear constrained optimization
In this paper, a class of nonlinear constrained optimization problems with both inequality and equality constraints is discussed. Based on a simple and effective penalty parameter and the idea of primal-dual interior point methods, a QP-free algorithm ...

Removable Singularities of $m$-Hessian Equations
In this paper we give a new, less restrictive condition for removability of singular sets, $E$, of smooth solutions to the m-Hessian equation (and also for more general fully nonlinear elliptic equations) in $Ω\setminus E$, $Ω\subset \mathbb R^n$.
