Heterosis and heterobeltiosis studies in sweet pepper (Capsicum annuum L.)

Horticulture, Environment, and Biotechnology, 2011
Twenty-five sweet pepper inbred lines were used to study the heterotic response of economic traits at Hwacheon during 2006/07–2007/08. Out of 25 inbred lines, 12 inbred lines (KNU1006, KNU1015, KNU1017, KNU2006, CO1234, 5AVS1, 5AVS2, 5AVS7, 5SAVS8, SP12, SP27 and SP46) were used as female parents whereas 13 inbred lines (SP9, SP14, SP22, SP25, SP30 ...

Estimating heterosis and heterobeltiosis in phenological and vegetative traits and correlations in Musa diploid x diploid crosses

Advanced Journal of Plant Biology, 2022
This study was conducted to determine the extent of heterosis and heterobeltiosis in phenological and vegetative traits in Musa diploid by diploid crosses. The experimental design was RCB with two replications of 6 plants per genotype. Planting was done in alleys of multispecies hedgerows in an area of 2,880 m2 at a spacing of 3 m x 2 m.

Repeatability of Progeny Mean, Combining Ability, Heterosis and Heterobeltiosis in Early Generations of a Potato Breeding Programme

Potato Research, 2006
Thirty-three populations of Andigena potatoes developed by 11 × 3 (line × tester) mating were studied from seedling to third clonal generations for number of tubers, average tuber weight, tuber yield, plant vigour, predominant tuber shape, predominant tuber size and uniformity in tuber shape, uniformity in tuber size and uniformity in tuber colour ...

Genetic Studied of Heterosis and Heterobeltiosis in F1 Hybrids of Upland Cotton for Yield and Fibre Traits

Biological Sciences - PJSIR
The mean performance of parents and hybrids is highly significant for all the traits. The hybridsMNH-886 x BT-703 possess maximum numbers of bolls formed 90 days after planting, plant height andthe number of sympodial branches/plant, while CRIS-134 x MS-370 produced a maximum number ofbolls/plant.
