Bifurcations of Orbit and Inclination Flips Heteroclinic Loop with Nonhyperbolic Equilibria
The bifurcations of heteroclinic loop with one nonhyperbolic equilibrium and one hyperbolic saddle are considered, where the nonhyperbolic equilibrium is supposed to undergo a transcritical bifurcation; moreover, the heteroclinic loop has an orbit flip ...

Spatial dynamics in the family of sixth-order differential equations from the theory of partial formation [PDF]
Topic of the paper. Bounded stationary (i.e. independent in time) spatially one-dimensional solutions of a quasilinear parabolic PDE are studied on the whole real line.

Effect of colored noise on heteroclinic orbits [PDF]
The dynamics of a weakly dissipative Hamiltonian system submitted to stochastic perturbations has been investigated by means of asymptotic methods. The probability of noise-induced separatrix crossing, which drastically changes the fate of the system, is derived analytically in the case where noise is an additive Kubo-Anderson process.

Analysis of the shearing instability in nonlinear convection and magnetoconvection [PDF]
Numerical experiments on two-dimensional convection with or without a vertical magnetic field reveal a bewildering variety of periodic and aperiodic oscillations.

Bifurcation of Nongeneric Homoclinic Orbit Accompanied by Pitchfork Bifurcation
The bifurcation of a nongeneric homoclinic orbit (i.e., the orbit comes from the equilibrium along the unstable manifold instead of the center manifold) connecting a nonhyperbolic equilibrium is investigated, and the nonhyperbolic equilibrium undergoes ...

Numerical computation of heteroclinic orbits
This paper develops a numerical solution to certain problems involving heteroclinic orbits which are orbits of a system of ordinary differential equations with fixed points. The paper is restricted to orbits connecting two saddle points and the system of equations considered together with the subsidiary equations contains 8 scalar variables which ...

Dynamical behaviour of a compound elastic pendulum
The aim of the paper is a comprehensive study of the compound elastic pendulum (CEP) with two degrees of freedom to point out the main complex (chaotic) dynamics that it can exhibit.

The trimaran vessel rolls strongly at low forward speed and may capsize in high sea conditions due to chaos and loss of stability, which is not usually considered in conventional limit-based criteria.

Stability analysis of some integrable Euler equations for SO(n)
A family of special cases of the integrable Euler equations on $so(n)$ introduced by Manakov in 1976 is considered. The equilibrium points are found and their stability is studied.
