Comments on Optical Heterodyne Detection
IEEE Transactions on Communication Technology, 1969An investigation of the response of a quantum detector to a prescribed incident electromagnetic field is presented. For the fields used, a statistical description of the resulting current flow is given. First and second moments of the resulting densities are calculated, and signal-to-noise ratios are computed.
