Monolayer Chiral Metasurface for Generation of Arbitrary Cylindrical Vector Beams

open access: yesPhotonics
The cylindrical vector beam (CVB) has been widely studied and applied in recent years. However, many CVB generation methods suffer from complex systems, and large-size devices are required. Here, we propose a monolayer chiral metasurface composed of spin-

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Structureless excitation and manipulation of dynamic holographic plasmonic slides

open access: yesNature Communications
Surface plasmons are bound modes at metal–dielectric interfaces and enable a wide range of applications. However, holographic plasmonic fields are usually realized with complex nanostructures, introducing diffraction background and limiting flexibility ...

Equilibrium Exchange Rates in Transition Countries: Evidence from Dynamic Heterogeneous Panel Models [PDF]

open access: yes
We use a dynamic heterogeneous panel model to estimate real equilibrium exchange rates for advanced transition countries. Our method is based on out-of-sample estimations from middle-income and high-income countries, and we use a pooled mean group ...

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

Heterogeneity in Cancer

open access: yesCancers
Cancer heterogeneity is a major challenge in oncology, complicating diagnosis, prognostication, and treatment. The clinical heterogeneity of cancer, which leads to differential treatment outcomes between patients with histopathologically similar cancers, is attributable to molecular diversity manifesting through genetic, epigenetic, transcriptomic ...

Adaptor protein CIN85 potentiates the motility of osteosarcoma cells via the Akt/mTOR and MMP2‐COL3A1 axis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting
