A Theory of Learning with Heterogeneous Agents
International Economic Review, 1995Summary: We study learning in organizations comprised of short-lived agents with heterogeneous beliefs. It is shown that the sequence of actions converges in probability to the set of ex-post optimal actions. Under some identifiability conditions, beliefs also converge in probability to point mass on the truth.

Problem Solving by Heterogeneous Agents
Journal of Economic Theory, 2001Consider a finite number of boundedly rational problem solvers (economic agents), each of whom is characterized by a perspective and a heuristic. This pair of characteristics induces a learning style, which the agent applies to problems faced. Suppose all agents face the same finite problem, and no two agents are alike in learning style.

Learning Stability in Economics with Heterogenous Agents [PDF]
Abstract An economy exhibits structural heterogeneity when the forecasts of different agents have different effects on the determination of aggregate variables. We study the important case of economies in which agents' behavior depends on forecasts of aggregate variables and show how different forms of heterogeneity in structure, forecasts, and ...

Synchronization of Heterogeneous Agents
IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2012The task of synchronizing autonomous agents is solved by a networked controller that steers the agents towards a common trajectory. This technical note extends existing analysis and design methods towards sets of linear agents with individual dynamics. A necessary and sufficient synchronization condition is proved and it is shown that the agents can be

Specification of Heterogeneous Agent Architectures
2001Agent-based software applications need to incorporate agents having heterogeneous architectures in order for each agent to optimally perform its task. HEMASL is a simple meta-language used to specify intelligent agents and multi-agent systems when different and heterogeneous agent architectures must be used.

EFFICIENCY WAGES WITH HETEROGENEOUS AGENTS [PDF]
This paper builds a model of efficiency wages with heterogeneous workers in the economy who differ with respect to their disutility of labor effort. In such an economy, two types of pure strategy symmetric Nash equilibria in firm wage offers can exist: a no-shirking equilibrium in which all workers exert effort while employed and a shirking equilibrium

Heterogeneous temporal probabilistic agents
ACM Transactions on Computational Logic, 2006To date, there has been no work on temporal probabilistic agent reasoning on top of heterogeneous legacy databases and software modules. We will define the concept of aheterogeneous temporal probabilistic(HTP) agent. Such agents can be built on top of existing databases, data structures, and software code bases without explicitly accessing the internal
