Heterogeneous Metallocene Catalysts

1995
Copolymerizations of olefins were carried out with the SiO2-, AI2O3- and MgCl2-supported Et[IndH4]2ZrCl2 catalysts combined with AIR3 as cocatalyst and the results were compared with those obtained previously in the presence of homogeneous Et[IndH4]2ZrCl2-MAO catalyst.

Kinetics and optimization studies using Response Surface Methodology in biodiesel production using heterogeneous catalyst

Chemical engineering research & design, 2018
Biodiesel is an eco-friendly fuel is known to be an alternative source for fossil fuels. Many studies reported transesterification based reaction methods for biodiesel production from edible/non-edible oils.

Heterogeneous Catalyst Preparation

2004
In this chapter, the different preparation processes for the synthesis of heterogeneous catalysis are described, including co-precipitation, sol-gel technique and hydrothermal method. The extension to the different steps of industrial scale preparation is also considered.

Heterogeneous Catalysts for Biodiesel Production

Energy & Fuels, 2007
The production of biodiesel is greatly increasing due to its enviromental benefits. However, production costs are still rather high, compared to petroleum-based diesel fuel. The introduction of a solid heterogeneous catalyst in biodiesel production could reduce its price, becoming competitive with diesel also from a financial point of view.

A cleaner process for biodiesel production from waste cooking oil using waste materials as a heterogeneous catalyst and its kinetic study

Journal of Cleaner Production, 2018
Utilization of heterogeneous catalyst in the biodiesel production process can minimize the cost of separation process and subsequently reduce the biodiesel price.

Biodiesel production using heterogeneous catalysts

Bioresource Technology, 2011
The production and use of biodiesel has seen a quantum jump in the recent past due to benefits associated with its ability to mitigate greenhouse gas (GHG). There are large number of commercial plants producing biodiesel by transesterification of vegetable oils and fats based on base catalyzed (caustic) homogeneous transesterification of oils. However,

Model Catalysts: Simulating the Complexities of Heterogeneous Catalysts

Annual Review of Physical Chemistry, 2012
Surface-science investigations have contributed significantly to heterogeneous catalysis in the past several decades. Fundamental studies of reactive systems on metal single crystals have aided researchers in understanding the effect of surface structure on catalyst reactivity and selectivity for a number of important reactions. Recently, model systems,

Biodiesel production using a novel heterogeneous catalyst, magnesium zirconate (Mg2Zr5O12): Process optimization through response surface methodology (RSM)

Energy Conversion and Management, 2018
A heterogeneous catalyst, magnesium zirconate (Mg2Zr5O12) was synthesized by co-precipitation and was used for biodiesel production via transesterification. Kusum oil was used as a feedstock.

New enantioselective heterogeneous catalysts

Catalysis Letters, 1997
A new enantioselective heterogeneous catalytic system has been made by partly decomposing (hydrogenolyzing) chiral silyl ethers in hydrogen over Pd black and differently dispersed Pd/SiO2. Preliminary hydrogenations of two prochiral C=C's have demonstrated the feasibility of the method which produced catalysts attaining ee's up to 22%. The chiral silyl
