Heterogeneous equilibria in the rhenium-oxygen system

Russian Journal of Physical Chemistry A, 2006
The heterogeneous phase equilibria in the rhenium-oxygen system (over a composition range of Re2O7-Re) were studied using differential thermal analysis, x-ray diffraction analysis, and tensimetry. The system was found to contain the equilibrium phases of Re2O7, cubic ReO3, and orthorhombic ReO2.

Heterogeneous Equilibria and Phase Diagrams

Annual Review of Physical Chemistry, 1956
Heterogeneous equilibria play an important part in many branches of chemical science and its applications in industry. Although studies of phase behavior have been made over a period of many years, much still remains to be accomplished before sufficient data are available so that dependable predictions can be made regarding systems theretofore ...

Heterogeneous Equilibria and Phase Diagrams

Annual Review of Physical Chemistry, 1955
Each year the problem of reviewing in a few pages the large field of heterogeneous equilibria and phase diagrams becomes more difficult. The number of good papers in this field has increased each year as the practical value of the results has become apparent in such widely diverse fields as improvement of metals by alloying or heat treatment ...

The Phase Rule and Heterogeneous Equilibria

1998
The phase rule relates the observed state of the heterogeneous system with number of thermodynamic variables required for the energetic description of its state as equilibrium. The phase rule is stated simply as the mnemonic, Φ = C - P + 2, where Φ is the variance = number of state variables that must be independently fixed or determined, C is the ...

Heterogeneous chemical equilibria in multicomponent mixtures

Chemical Engineering Science, 1989
Abstract An analysis of the geometry of the free energy surface for multicomponent mixtures is discussed for conditions where there may be chemical reactions taking place in the mixture, as well as the possibility of phase separation. The latter is shown to take place in a direction orthogonal to the reaction subspace, and can therefore take place ...

The stability of generalised stackelberg equilibria in heterogeneous oligopoly

Zeitschrift für Nationalökonomie, 1979
In this paper we have derived sufficient conditions for the stability of the G. S. E. These conditions follow from the condition on the stability of the G. C. E., given by Okuguchi (1978). When the conditions for asymptotic stability are fulfilled, the existence of the G. S. E. may be demonstrated in the same way as the existence of the G. C. E.
