Contribution to terrestrial heteroptera fauna of Northern-Dobrogea [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Annals of the Danube Delta Institute, 2008
Present paper contains faunistical data obtained by the joint research of Babes-Bolyai, Sapienta and Szeged University. 1053 heteroptera specimens of 117 species were collected. A brief review of the heteroptera studies of Dobrogea is given.

Invertebrate diversity and the ecological role of decomposer assemblages in natural and plantation forests in Southern Benin [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
The aim of this thesis was to investigate the diversity of invertebrates in natural semi-deciduous forest and plantation forests of the Lama forest reserve in Benin. Litter decomposi-tion, being a key ecosystem process, was studied, and the importance of

Alternative prey influence the predation of mosquito larvae by three water bug species (Heteroptera: Nepidae)

open access: yesLimnological Review, 2020
The indirect interactions among multiple prey sharing a common predator characterize apparent competition. In conservation biological control involving mosquitoes and controphic prey against generalist insect predators, apparent competition may be a ...

New records of terrestrial bugs from the Maltese Islands with an updated list of Maltese Heteroptera (Insecta : Hemiptera) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Thirty-four species of Heteroptera were found from the Maltese islands during a sampling period of a week in April of 2009. Of these, seven represent new records for this territory and include the seed bugs Artheneis foveolata, Emblethis duplicatus ...

Full‐length transcriptome profiling of true bug mitochondrial genomes reveals the unique transcriptional regulation during insect evolution

open access: yesInsect Science, EarlyView.
The mitogenome was transcribed into complete primary polycistrons on both strands. The heteropteran mitochondrial transcription termination factor (HmTTF) functions as a bidirectional attenuator rather than a terminator, and co‐evolution of HmTTF and the binding sites was observed.

The first mitochondrial genome for the subfamily Podopinae (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae) and its phylogenetic implications

open access: yesMitochondrial DNA. Part B. Resources, 2017
Here, we determined the complete mitogenome of Graphosoma rubrolineata, as the first representative for the subfamily Podopinae. This mitogenome is 15,633 bp long and contains 37 typical mitochondrial genes.

Response of the reduviid bug, Rhynocoris marginatus (Heteroptera: Reduviidae) to six different species of cotton pests

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Entomology, 2016
. In Indian agro-ecosystems Rhynocoris marginatus (F.) is one of the most abundant predatory arthropods and feeds on a wide range of insect pests. We investigated the responses of R.
