Targeted liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry profiling of arginine and histidine derivatives in chronic migraine: Discriminatory performance and changes after onabotulinumtoxinA therapy

open access: yesHeadache: The Journal of Head and Face Pain, EarlyView.
Plain Language Summary People with chronic migraine may have changes in amino‐acid metabolism, but it remains unclear which metabolic pathways are associated with the disease and early response to onabotulinumtoxinA treatment. We measured plasma amino‐acid levels in patients with chronic migraine and healthy controls and assessed changes after 1 month ...

Subject-conditioned generative manifold alignment for cross-subject EEG emotion recognition

open access: yesAin Shams Engineering Journal
Cross-subject electroencephalography (EEG)-based emotion recognition remains challenging because of substantial inter-subject variability, low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), and the continuous and multidimensional nature of affective processes.

Mapping Trust Dynamics: A Multilevel Analysis of Stakeholder Trust in the European Food Safety Authority

open access: yesJCMS: Journal of Common Market Studies, EarlyView.
Abstract Trust in regulatory regimes is essential for democratic legitimacy and regulatee compliance. This is particularly relevant in multilevel systems such as the European Union. This study examines the interplay of individual‐ and country‐level factors that contribute to stakeholder trust in the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA).

Uncertainty quantification for scientific machine learning using sparse variational Gaussian process Kolmogorov–Arnold networks (SVGP KAN)

open access: yesMachine Learning: Science and Technology
Kolmogorov–Arnold networks (KANs) have emerged as interpretable alternatives to traditional multi-layer perceptrons. However, standard implementations lack principled uncertainty quantification capabilities essential for many scientific applications.

A Hybrid Dropout Method for High-Precision Seafloor Topography Reconstruction and Uncertainty Quantification

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Seafloor topography super-resolution reconstruction is critical for marine resource exploration, geological monitoring, and navigation safety. However, sparse acoustic data frequently result in the loss of high-frequency details, and traditional deep ...

Divergent exploratory‐avoidant behavioural strategies may drive niche differentiation in juvenile Antarctic fishes

open access: yesJournal of Fish Biology, EarlyView.
Abstract We used an ecological niche theory framework integrating physiological and behavioural ecology to understand interspecific differentiation of juveniles of four Antarctic fishes: Trematomus bernacchii, Trematomus pennellii, Trematomus nicolai and Pagothenia borchgrevinki.

Leadership beyond the battlefield: How military‐experienced senior executives influence analyst coverage, forecast accuracy, and dispersion

open access: yesJournal of Financial Research, EarlyView.
Abstract This study examines how military‐experienced senior executives shape analysts' information environment and forecasting outcomes. Using U.S.‐listed firms from 2000 to 2020, we find that firms led by ex‐military executives attract greater analyst coverage, exhibit lower forecast inaccuracy, and experience lower forecast dispersion.
