Molecular dynamics simulations of ion beam irradiation on graphene/MoS2 heterostructure
The interaction between ion irradiation and two-dimensional (2D) heterostructures is important for the performance modulation and application realization, while few studies have been reported.

Glissile Interphase Boundaries Enable Collective Phase Switching in Epitaxial Polar Oxides
A triple point is identified in the phase diagram of low‐symmetry epitaxial BiFeO3 thin film along with an extended regime of phase competition associated with a flattened energy landscape. The electromechanical response is shown to be governed by correlated interphase‐boundary motion, including scale‐free avalanche dynamics characteristic of systems ...

Highly (00l)-oriented Bi2Te3/Te heterostructure thin films with enhanced power factor
Introducing nanoscale heterostructure interfaces into material matrix is an effective strategy to optimize the thermoelectric performance by energy-dependent carrier filtering effect.

Toward Fast Proton Shuttling in Acidic Oxygen Evolution Reaction
This review establishes proton transfer dynamics as a descriptor governing acidic OER activity, moving beyond the kinetic constraints derived from the proton coupled electron transfer. We discuss how deprotonation governs classical mechanisms, including adsorbate evolution mechanism (AEM), lattice oxygen mechanism (LOM) and oxide path mechanism (OPM ...

Time‐Resolved Magnetization Switching Dynamics Driven by Orbital Torques
Du et al. reveal nanosecond magnetization switching driven by orbital currents using time‐resolved Hall detection. The measurements separate domain nucleation from domain wall propagation and show that Joule heating strongly assists switching by lowering energy barriers.

Effects of high carrier concentrations on some optical properties of semiconductors [PDF]
Many semiconductor devices, such as heterostructure lasers and silicon bipolar transistors, require large concentrations of free carriers in the conduction and/or valence band of an active region.

We investigated the converse magnetoelectric (CME) effect in the Fe81Ga19/polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) heterostructure films. A weak in-plane uniaxial magnetic anisotropy was observed in the as-deposited magnetostrictive FeGa films.
