Heterostructure terahertz devices [PDF]
The terahertz (THz) range of frequencies is borderline between microwave electronics and photonics. It corresponds to the frequency bands of molecular and lattice vibrations in gases, fluids, and solids. The importance of the THz range is in part due to numerous potential and emerging applications which include imaging and characterization, detection ...

Bolometric Properties of a Spin-Torque Diode Based on a Magnetic Tunnel Junction
Spin caloritronics opens up a wide range of potential applications, one of which can be the thermoelectric rectification of a microwave signal by spin-diode structures. The bolometric properties of a spin-torque diode based on a magnetic tunnel junction (

Heterostructure Induced Dispersive Shear Bands in Heterostructured Cu
Abstract Here we report the formation of dispersive shear bands in a heterostructured Cu composed of coarse-grained (CG) and ultrafine-grained (UFG) domains. Microscale digital image correlation revealed that dense shear bands evolved in a stable manner over the whole gauge section.

Electronic band structure engineering in InAs/InSbAs and InSb/InSbAs superlattice heterostructures
We report a detailed ab initio study of two superlattice heterostructures, one component of which is a unit cell of CuPt ordered InSb_(0.5)As_(0.5). This alloy part of the heterostructures is a topological semimetal. The other component of each system is

Observation of interlayer phonon modes in van der Waals heterostructures [PDF]
We have investigated the vibrational properties of van der Waals heterostructures of monolayer transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs), specifically MoS2/WSe2 and MoSe2/MoS2 heterobilayers as well as twisted MoS2 bilayers, by means of ultralow-frequency ...
