GWAS reveals novel QTLs associated with panicle architecture traits in US long‐grain rice
Abstract Understanding the variability of panicle architecture‐related traits is important to enhance rice (Oryza sativa L.) improvement. The present study evaluated 208 diverse rice lines of southern rice breeding programs for panicle length (PL), panicle weight (PW), and thousand grain weight (GW).

Sorghum is one of the most vital cereal crops well adapted to arid and semi-arid regions. However, its productivity remains low compared to its potential, primarily due to severe and recurrent drought stress. To develop climate-resilient sorghum hybrids,

Derivations, holonomy groups and heterotic geometry
In this paper, we investigate the superalgebra of derivations generated by the fundamental forms on manifolds with reduced structure group. In particular, we point out a relation between the algebra of derivations of heterotic geometries that admit Killing spinors and the commutator algebra of holonomy symmetries in sigma models. We use this to propose

Rank 48 gauge group in heterotic string
We discuss the existence of a non-perturbative gauge sector that can raise the rank of the gauge group of the N_4=2 heterotic string up to 48. These gauge bosons, that don't exist in six dimensions, co-exist with those originating from small instantons shrinking to zero size.

Diversity of Maize Kernels from a Breeding Program for Protein Quality III: Ionome Profiling
Densities of single and multiple macro- and micronutrients were estimated in the mature kernels of 1348 accessions in 13 maize genotypes. The germplasm belonged to stiff stalk (SS) and non-stiff stalk (NS) heterotic groups (HGs) with one (S1) to four (S4)

Heterosis in papaya: inter and intragroup analysis
Papaya (Carica papaya L.) is a typical crop of tropical areas, and Brazil is one of the leading world producers. In recent decades, papaya culture has expanded to different regions of the country, but the number of cultivars available is still limited ...
