Generalized Hypergeometric Solutions of the Heun Equation [PDF]

open access: yesTheoretical and Mathematical Physics, 2020
We present infinitely many solutions of the general Heun equation in terms of generalized hypergeometric functions. Each solution assumes that two restrictions are imposed on the involved parameters: a characteristic exponent of one of the singularities should be a non-zero integer, and the accessory parameter must satisfy a polynomial equation.

Confinement Driven Spin‐Texture Evolution in Directly Written Nanomagnets

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 35, Issue 49, December 2, 2025.
Spin‐texture is directly written by triggering lattice ordering locally at the nanoscale. Geometric confinement drives the formation of spin‐textures such as Néel walls with perpendicular core spins, essential for technological applications. Abstract In low‐dimensional magnetic structures, magnetostatic energy minimization yields a uniform spin‐texture,

Class of solutions of the Wheeler-DeWitt equation with ordering parameter

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2020
In this letter, we discuss the Wheeler-DeWitt equation with an ordering parameter in the Friedmann-Robertson-Walker universe. The solutions when the universe was very small and at the end of the expansion are obtained in terms of Bessel and Heun ...

High Resolution Seismic Waveform Generation Using Denoising Diffusion

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Machine Learning and Computation, Volume 2, Issue 4, December 2025.
Abstract Accurate prediction and synthesis of seismic waveforms are crucial for seismic‐hazard assessment and earthquake‐resistant infrastructure design. Existing prediction methods, such as ground‐motion models and physics‐based wavefield simulations, often fail to capture the full complexity of seismic wavefields, particularly at higher frequencies ...

Resumming post-Minkowskian and post-Newtonian gravitational waveform expansions

open access: yesSciPost Physics
We derive formulae that resum, at a given order in the soft limit, the infinite series of Post-Minkowkian (small gravitational coupling) or Post-Newtonian (small velocities) corrections to the gravitational waveform produced by particles moving along a ...

Heun-Type Solutions of the Klein-Gordon and Dirac Equations in the Garfinkle-Horowitz-Strominger Dilaton Black Hole Background

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, 2019
We study the Klein-Gordon and the Dirac equations in the background of the Garfinkle-Horowitz-Strominger black hole in the Einstein frame. Using a SO(3,1)×U(1)-gauge covariant approach, as an alternative to the Newman-Penrose formalism for the Dirac ...

Physical applications of second-order linear differential equations that admit polynomial solutions

open access: yes, 2010
Conditions are given for the second-order linear differential equation P3 y" + P2 y'- P1 y = 0 to have polynomial solutions, where Pn is a polynomial of degree n. Several application of these results to Schroedinger's equation are discussed.

A Riemann-Hilbert Approach to the Heun Equation [PDF]

open access: yesSymmetry, Integrability and Geometry: Methods and Applications, 2018
We describe the close connection between the linear system for the sixth Painlev equation and the general Heun equation, formulate the Riemann-Hilbert problem for the Heun functions and show how, in the case of reducible monodromy, the Riemann-Hilbert formalism can be used to construct explicit polynomial solutions of the Heun equation.

High Performance Room Temperature Multiferroic Properties of w‐MnSe Altermagnet

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 35, Issue 43, October 22, 2025.
Using first‐principles calculations, for the first time the Altermagneto‐Ferroelectric Coupling Effect (AFCE) is proposed, which enables control of both electric polarization and spin splitting in the band structure due to polyhedral rotations. This uncovers robust multiferroicity in wurtzite MnSe at room temperature, offering an exciting route for ...

Heun equation and Painlev equation

open access: yes, 2005
We relate two parameter solutions of the sixth Painlev equation and finite-gap solutions of the Heun equation by considering monodromy on a certain class of Fuchsian differential equations. In the appendix, we present formulae on differentials of elliptic modular functions, and obtain the ellitic form of the sixth Painlev equation directly.
