Heusler- und Halb-Heusler-Phasen konnten als Verbindungsklasse identifiziert werden, neue Materialien für die Magnetoelektronik bereitzustellen. Auf Basis eines theoretischen Modells konnte das Auftreten eines hohen MR-Effekts auf bestimmte Valenzelektronenzahlen (VEK) präzisiert werden.
