Heusler Alloys

Journal of Applied Physics, 1963
The results are given of comprehensive measurements on the magnetic and crystallographic properties of the ferromagnetic Heusler alloys Cu2MnAl, Cu2MnIn, Cu2MnSn, Cu2MnGe, Au2MnAl, and the antiferromagnetic alloy Cu2MnSb. The alloys Cu2MnBi and Cu2MnGa are polyphase and the ferromagnetism may be due to binary phases present.

Transport properties of Heusler compounds and alloys

Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter, 2021
Abstract Heusler compounds are a large group of intermetallic compositions with versatile material properties. In recent times, they are found to be important for their practical applications in the fields of spintronics and shape memory effect.

Heusler alloy catalysts for electrochemical CO2 reduction

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 2022
Developing efficient catalysts for electrochemical CO2 reduction reaction (ECO2RR) to hydrocarbons is becoming increasingly important but still challenging due to their high overpotential and poor selectivity. Here, the famous Heusler alloys are investigated as ECO2RR catalysts for the first time by means of density functional theory calculations.

Electrical resistivity of Heusler alloys

Solid State Communications, 1982
Abstract The electrical resistivity of eight different Heusler alloys is discussed in terms of electron phonon and spin-disorder scattering. The systematics common to the alloys can be explained in the intermediate to high temperature range while the low temperature range still presents interpretation difficulties.

Fe-based semiconducting Heusler alloys

Semiconductors, 2017
A brief overview of the current state of research on Fe-based semiconducting Heusler alloys is given. The most significant achievement in this area is the increase of thermoelectric figure of merit to ZT > 1 in the p-type Fe(V,Nb)Sb-based compounds.

Heusler alloy/semiconductor hybrid structures

Current Opinion in Solid State and Materials Science, 2006
Abstract Heusler alloys are theoretically predicted to become half-metals at room temperature (RT). The advantages of using these alloys are good lattice matching with III–V semiconductors, high Curie temperature above RT and intermetallic controllability for spin density of states at the Fermi level.
