Heusler-alloy films for spintronic devices

Applied Physics A, 2013
The next generation of magnetic memories requires an ideal spin-polarised electron source, achievable by using a half-metallic Heusler-alloy film. For Heusler-alloy film implementation, it is critical to realise both large volumes of coherent magnetisation reversal and high interfacial atomic ordering.

The silver-based heusler alloys

Philosophical Magazine, 1959
Abstract The structures of some fifty alloys of silver, manganese, and aluminium have been studied with a view to explaining the magnetic properties of these alloys. Approximate equilibrium diagrams were made at 400°c and 660°c, and the alloys were also examined after quenching from the latter temperature.

A Band Model for Heusler Alloys

MAGNETISM AND MAGNETIC MATERIALS — 1973: Nineteenth Annual Conference, 1974
The band structure of Heusler alloys is simulated by a free electron conduction band which hybridizes with a flat band due to the “magnetic” ions (e.g. Mn in Cu2 Mn Al), The magnetic properties are due to a Coulomb repulsion between electrons of opposite spin in the flat band.

Theoretical study of Ni2MnGa Heusler alloy

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2012
The structure determination of Ferromagnetic Shape Memory Alloy Ni2MnGa is a major challenge. This paper reports the investigation of the properties of Ni2MnGa Heusler alloy from the theoretical point of view using density-functional calculations through Gaussian.

Surface Superconductivity in Ni50Mn36Sn14 Heusler Alloy

Journal of Superconductivity and Novel Magnetism, 2018
The changes in the magnetizations of Ni50Mn36Sn14 Heusler alloy (L21-NiMnSn-HA) with an antiferromagnetic interfacial exchange coupling have been investigated by using the effective field theory as a function of temperature and external magnetic field.

Hyperfine field systematics in Heusler alloys

Journal of Physics F: Metal Physics, 1975
The present study establishes hyperfine field systematics at the non-magnetic sites in Heusler alloys and emphasizes the effect of local screening on the hyperfine field value. A range of Heusler alloy hosts were doped with 1 at.% of the isotope 119Sn for examination using the Mossbauer effect.
