In Situ Polymerization of Barium Hexaferrite Ferrofluids for Poly(Ethylene) Succinate Magnetic Nanoparticle Composites

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, Volume 142, Issue 23, June 15, 2025.
ABSTRACT The integration of hard magnetic barium hexaferrite (BHF) nanoplatelets into a dense poly(ethylene succinate) (PES) polyester matrix produces an exciting biodegradable thermoplastic magnetic polymer nanocomposite. In this work, scandium‐substituted BHF nanoplatelets are grown and stabilized in hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB ...

Triple‐Stimuli Responsive Soft Robots with Photo‐Programmable Ferriferous Oxide Particle Patterns

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 18, May 15, 2025.
The in situ generation of Fe3O4 nanoparticles in polymer substrate is realized by combining photo‐reduction of Fe3+ to Fe2+ and hydrolytic reaction of the two ions. By spatiotemporal control of UV light irradiation, the distribution of Fe3O4 nanoparticle can be well controlled, which enables the composite with magnetic field, NIR light, and moisture ...

Cobalt‐Based Materials in Supercapacitors and Batteries: A Review

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, Volume 6, Issue 2, February 2025.
Cobalt (Co)‐based materials are appropriate as electrode materials in energy storage devices. A combination of Co and ferrite materials such as nickel, zinc, and copper, or Co with nonferrite materials such as metal–organic frameworks and layered double hydroxides has sparked applied research.

Solvothermal Synthesis of SrFe12O19 Hexaferrites: Without Calcinations

open access: yesJournal of Superconductivity and Novel Magnetism, 2014
In this study, the effect of temperature on the hydrothermal synthesis of single-phase SrFe12O19 hexaferrite (SrM) was investigated. For this synthesis, annealing or calcination process was applied. The Fe/Ba molar ratio was taken as 8:1. In this study, single-phase SrM NPs were synthesized via hydrothermal method.
