High coercivity Sr hexaferrites
Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 1991Abstract The improvement of the microstructure of Sr hexaferrites and consequently their magnetic properties were studied. The aim of the study was to attain a fine grained microstructure by using controlled grain growth. The most important part of the sintering process is the rearrangement of fine ferrite particles in the presence of the liquid ...

MMIC circulators using hexaferrites
IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 2001MMIC circulators operating at K/sub A/-band have been fabricated from single crystal and polycrystalline hexaferrite platelets integrated into glass-microwave integrated circuit wafers. Measurements on circulators utilizing single crystal BaFe/sub 11.1/Sc/sub 0.9/O/sub 19/ showed two-band circulation, below-FMR (at 36 GHz) and above-FMR (at 24 GHz ...

Lanthanum-substituted barium hexaferrites
Soviet Powder Metallurgy and Metal Ceramics, 1971A study was made of the effect of lanthanum oxide on the properties of barium hexaferrites. It is shown that, by introducing small quantities of lanthanum oxide, it is possible to produce a material with (BH)max of 0.9 · 106 G-Oe, which is practically unaffected by sintering temperature.

Magnetic Behavior of Barium Hexaferrite Nanoparticles
Advanced Materials Research, 2011An analysis of the magnetic behavior of Barium Hexaferrite nanoparticles is presented in this paper. The particles’ average size is around 200 nm. The SU-8 photoresist is used as dielectric host matrix in which the particles are embedded. The volume fraction of magnetic particles reached is around 10%. Microwave characterizations show the properties of

Magnetoelectric (ME) multiferroics are materials that combine coupled electric and magnetic dipoles. Studies of ME multiferroics are a time-honored research subject because of their potential for future electronic devices. Recent discoveries have revealed that ferroelectricity can be induced by complex internal arrangements of magnetic moments.

Exchange interactions in barium hexaferrite
Physical Review B, 2005The electronic structure of $\mathrm{Ba}{\mathrm{Fe}}_{12}{\mathrm{O}}_{19}$ hexaferrite is calculated using the density functional theory and generalized gradient approximation (GGA). The $\mathrm{GGA}+\mathrm{U}$ method is used to improve the description of strongly correlated $3d$ electrons of Fe.

Kinetics of Strontium Hexaferrite Formation
Transactions of the Indian Ceramic Society, 1981Kinetics of strontium hexaferrite (SrO. 6Fe2O3) formation from SrCO3 and Fe2O3 under isothermal conditions were studied by quantitative X-ray diffractometry at reaction temperatures of 745°, 895°, 950°, 984° and 1050°C for various reaction times from 2 minutes to 30 hours. At 745°C, two intermediates, 2SrO.

Formation of U-type hexaferrites
Journal of Materials Research, 2004The formation of U-type hexaferrites with the composition Ba4B2Fe36O60 (B = Co, Ni, Zn) was studied. Samples were characterized by means of x-ray diffraction, electron microscopy (with energy-dispersive spectroscopy), and thermogravimetric and thermomagnetic analyses.

Mechanical properties of barium hexaferrites
IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1979The mechanical properties of typical isotropic barium ferrites have been determined. A statistical analysis has shown that fracture toughness is the best quality parameter. It changes with variation of production operation conditions. The fracture statistics follows the Weibull distribution. A relationship is found between the influence of the Fe 2 O 3

GeMn-substituted barium hexaferrite
2002 3rd International Conference on Microwave and Millimeter Wave Technology, 2002. Proceedings. ICMMT 2002., 2003The microwave properties have been studied on polycrystalline hexaferrite BaZn/sub 2/(GeMn)/sub 0.2/Fe/sub 15.6/O/sub 27/. The X-ray diffraction has shown that the W-type hexaferrites BaZn/sub 2/(GeMn)/sub x/Fe/sub 16-2x/O/sub 27/ can not be formed at x/spl ges/0.5.
