Mechanical properties of barium hexaferrites

IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1979
The mechanical properties of typical isotropic barium ferrites have been determined. A statistical analysis has shown that fracture toughness is the best quality parameter. It changes with variation of production operation conditions. The fracture statistics follows the Weibull distribution. A relationship is found between the influence of the Fe 2 O 3

GeMn-substituted barium hexaferrite

2002 3rd International Conference on Microwave and Millimeter Wave Technology, 2002. Proceedings. ICMMT 2002., 2003
The microwave properties have been studied on polycrystalline hexaferrite BaZn/sub 2/(GeMn)/sub 0.2/Fe/sub 15.6/O/sub 27/. The X-ray diffraction has shown that the W-type hexaferrites BaZn/sub 2/(GeMn)/sub x/Fe/sub 16-2x/O/sub 27/ can not be formed at x/spl ges/0.5.

Ferromagnetic resonance in hexaferrite nanopowders

Russian Physics Journal, 2008
Results obtained from experimental investigations into the effect of mechanical activation of a BaCoxTixFe12−2xO19 hexaferrite system (x = 1 and 1.2) with a low anisotropy field in a high-energy planetary mill on the structure and magnetic parameters of the powders are presented.

Hydrothermal synthesis of barium hexaferrite

High Pressure Research, 2001
Abstract The authors of the report carried out synthesis of barium hexaferrite (BHF) both in water vapor atmosphere and in liquid medium in the temperature range 200-400°C at pressures PH2O of 9-26MPa in laboratory autoclaves. The results of research have shown that BHF with the best performances can be obtained by thermovaporous treatment of dry ...

Microwave Sintering of Baryum Hexaferrite

MRS Proceedings, 1994
ABSTRACTConventional sintering of baryum hexaferrite Co2Z leads to a mixture of phases with a low density. In this paper we try to obtain a pure densified CO2Z hexaferrite by microwave heating. The design of the applicator is computed from both the electromagnetic physical characteristics, the dimensions and the shape of the hexaferrite sample.

Highly Oriented SrM Tape Hexaferrite

IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 2006
This paper reports on preparation of a magnetically anisotropic polycrystalline hexaferrite, Sr0.95Ca0.05Fe12O19, whose orientation degree is as high as 100%. The preparation uses standard ceramic techniques, including wet pressing and flowing-oxygen sintering.

Remanence properties of barium hexaferrite

Journal of Alloys and Compounds, 2004
Abstract Barium hexaferrites have been widely used as permanent magnets, however one of the most important parameters that characterizes these ferrites is the switching field distribution (SFD). This work calculates the SFD on a small particle barium ferrite (BaFe 12 O 19 ) obtained by coprecipitation from chlorides in an alkaline medium using the ...

Microwave behaviour in Z-type polycristalline hexaferrites

Le Journal de Physique IV, 1997
The hexaferrites present today a great interest in the field of electromagnetic waves absorbents. We have studied Ba 3 Co 2 Fe 24 O 41 Z-type hexaferrites. The origin of magnetic permeability in such polycrystalline materials is not so far perfectly known, especially in terms of relations between properties and microstructure. The purpose of this paper
