Magnetoelectric sensor excitations in hexaferrite films

Applied Physics Letters, 2015
We developed techniques for H- and E-field sensors utilizing single phase magnetoelectric (ME) hexaferrite thin films in the frequency range of 1 kHz to 10 MHz. The technique incorporating solenoid coils and multi-capacitors bank was developed to probe the physics and properties of ME hexaferrite film and explore ME effects for sensor detections and ...

Recoil magnetization in partially oriented hexaferrites

IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1995
The magnetization was measured as a function of decreasing field on several polycrystalline hexaferrites that are potentially useful as microwave or millimeterwave materials, because of their low dielectric loss. The materials are partially oriented by compaction in a magnetic field or hot-forging. The observed magnetization vs.

Microwave absorbers based on hexaferrites

Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 1999
Microwave absorbers based on M-type hexaferrites are studied. Fine powders of the ferrite are dispersed in a polymer, and absorption measurements are carried out at X-band. A mathematical model for calculating the microwave absorption is developed. The results from the model are compared with experiment. ©1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.

Manganese substitution in Zn2-W hexaferrite

Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 1983
Abstract Mossbauer and magnetic characterization of Ba(Zn 1- x Mn x ) 2 Fe 16 O 27 hexaferrite ((Zn, Mn) 2 -W) has been carried out. In spite of the large magnetic moment of the Mn 2+ ion, we observed only a small increase of T c and a slow reducton of the zinc-induced magnetic disorder in the W structure.

Magnetic properties of nanosized hexaferrite powders

Journal of Structural Chemistry, 2004
Hexagonal ultradispersed ferrites were obtained in a high energy planetary mill by mechanochemical treatment. Their structural characteristics — average size and internal stress — were studied. Fundamental magnetic characteristics — saturation magnetization and effective fields of crystal anisotropy — were examined in pulse magnetic fields with the law

Polycrystalline hexaferrites for millimetre wave applications

Materials Research Bulletin, 1990
Abstract Polycrystalline M-type hexaferrites have been prepared with low microwave losses and high coercive fields. Standard ceramic techniques were employed in the preparation, with the milling method and pressing and sintering conditions being optimized to obtain the desired characteristics.
