Structural and magnetic properties of nanocrystalline BaFe12O19 synthesized by microwave-hydrothermal method [PDF]
Nanocrystalline BaFe12O19 powders were prepared by microwave-hydrothermal method at 200 °C/45 min. The as-synthesized powders were characterized by using X-ray diffraction (XRD), thermogravimetry (TG) and differential thermal analysis (DTA).

ASb3Mn9O19 (A = K or Rb): New Mn-Based 2D Magnetoplumbites with Geometric and Magnetic Frustration. [PDF]
The first Mn‐based magnetoplumbites, ASb3Mn9O19 (A = K or Rb), are discovered, synthesized, and characterized. According to magnetic properties measurements, neutron diffraction, and reverse Monte Carlo refinement, short‐range magnetic correlations are observed in the new materials.

Ferroelectric relaxor quantum crystals [PDF]
Funding: UK EPSRC grant EP/P024637/1.A discussion is given of ferroelectrics (FEs) that have their Curie temperatures Tc very near absolute zero. These have differences in their dynamics in comparison with higher-temperature systems, since domain wall ...

The paper presents a study of the phase composition, morphology, magnetic and electromagnetic properties both of Y-type hexaferrites Ba2Ni2–xCuxFe12O22 (x = 0.4, 1.0, 1.2) and composites produced therefrom. Hexaferrites are synthesized via standard ceramic method. Ferromagnetic resonance technique is applied to measure the magnetocrystalline anisotropy

Low magnetic field reversal of electric polarization in a Y-type hexaferrite
Magnetoelectric multiferroics in which ferroelectricity and magnetism coexist have attracted extensive attention because they provide great opportunities for the mutual control of electric polarization by magnetic fields and magnetization by electric ...

Direct calorimetric measurements of isothermal entropy change on single crystal W-type hexaferrites at the spin reorientation transition [PDF]
We report on the magnetic field induced isothermal entropy change, \Delta s(Ha, T), of W-type ferrite with CoZn substitution. Entropy measurements are performed by direct calorimetry.
