Large Anomalous and Topological Hall Effect and Nernst Effect in a Dirac Kagome Magnet Fe3Ge
Fe3Ge, a Kagome‐lattice magnet, exhibits remarkable anomalous Hall and Nernst effects, with transverse thermoelectric conductivity surpassing or comaprable to some well‐known ferromagnets. First‐principles calculations attribute these to Berry curvature from massive Dirac gaps. Additionally, topological Hall and Nernst signals emerge from field‐induced

The space group classification of topological band insulators
Topological band insulators (TBIs) are bulk insulating materials which feature topologically protected metallic states on their boundary. The existing classification departs from time-reversal symmetry, but the role of the crystal lattice symmetries in ...

Understanding Decoherence of the Boron Vacancy Center in Hexagonal Boron Nitride
State‐of‐the‐art computations unravel the intricate decoherence dynamics of the boron vacancy center in hexagonal boron nitride across magnetic fields from 0 to 3 T. Five distinct regimes emerge, dominated by nuclear spin interactions, revealing optimal coherence times of 1–20 µs in the 180–350 mT range for isotopically pure samples.

Effect of inelasticity on the phase transitions of a thin vibrated granular layer
We describe an experimental and computational investigation of the ordered and disordered phases of a vibrating thin, dense granular layer composed of identical metal spheres. We compare the results from spheres with different amounts of inelasticity and

Thermal transport in Ru and W thin films is studied using steady‐state thermoreflectance, ultrafast pump–probe spectroscopy, infrared‐visible spectroscopy, and computations. Significant Lorenz number deviations reveal strong phonon contributions, reaching 45% in Ru and 62% in W.

Synthesis, Crystal Structure and Magnetic Properties of the Linear-Chain Cobalt Oxide Sr5Pb3CoO12
The novel spin-chain cobalt oxide Sr5Pb3CoO12 [P-62m, a = 10.1093(2) A and c = 3.562 51(9) A at 295 K] is reported. Polycrystalline sample of the compound was studied by neutron diffraction (at 6 and 295 K) and magnetic susceptibility measurements (5 to ...

A previously unreported coordination motif stabilising single Fe atoms by indigo chelation and pyridyl coordination on Au(111) has been revealed. By using planar tritopic pyridyl linkers (TPyB), extended 2D porous networks of indigo3(TPyB)2Fe6 form. These networks can be crystalline or vitreous and offer an environment where individual coordination ...

Compatibility waves drive crystal growth on patterned substrates
We explore the crystallization in a colloidal monolayer on a structured template starting from a few-particle nucleus. The competition between the substrate structure and that of the growing crystal induces a new crystal growth scenario.
