Ontology‐Aligned Structuring and Reuse of Multimodal Materials Data and Workflows Toward Automatic Reproduction

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Reproduction of stacking fault energy calculations from literature with a semi‐automated large language model‐assisted extraction procedure: extraction of simulation protocol, atomistic structures, computational parameters, and reported results, ontology alignment, knowledge graph construction and, finally, recomputation forvalidation.

WAVELET BASED METHOD FOR REMOVING GAUSSIAN NOISE USING BY REPRESENTING IMAGES IN HEXAGONAL LATTICE

open access: yesICTACT Journal on Image and Video Processing, 2016
Human Visual System (HVS) is for acquiring, processing, analyzing, and understanding the images and this is a natural process. The image acquisition, processing, analysing and understanding the images are electronically duplicated in Computer vision.

High precision multiscale hexagonal global grid system based on rhombic triacontahedron combinatorial structure

open access: yesInternational Journal of Digital Earth
Rhombic triacontahedron-based hexagonal discrete global grid systems (RTHDGGS) exhibit desirable geometric properties; however, their practical application is constrained by expensive cross-face computations and incongruent hierarchical subdivisions.

First-principles calculation on electronic properties of zinc oxide by zinc–air system

open access: yesJournal of King Saud University: Engineering Sciences, 2017
First-principles calculations are performed to study the electronic properties of zinc oxide (ZnO) formed on an anode after discharging a Zn–air system.

THE TRANSFORM BETWEEN GEOGRAPHIC COORDINATES AND LOCATION CODES OF APERTURE 4 HEXAGONAL GRID SYSTEM [PDF]

open access: yesThe International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences, 2017
Discrete global grid system is a new data model which supports the fusion processing of multi-source geospatial data. In discrete global grid systems, all cell operations can be completed by codes theoretically, but most of current spatial data are in ...

Modeling Dislocation Cutting of γ′ Precipitates in Ni‐Base Superalloys: Linking Atomistic and Dislocation Dynamics Simulations

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Dislocation cutting of γ′ precipitates in Ni‐based superalloys is investigated by linking atomistic simulations with discrete dislocation dynamics. The critical cutting stress is shown to be governed by the antiphase boundary energy, while line tension effects promote edge‐preferred cutting.

Embedding Steiner triple systems in hexagon triple systems

open access: yesDiscrete Mathematics, 2009
A \textit{Steiner triple} system of order \(n\) (or a triple system) is a pair \((S,T)\), where \(T\) is a collection of edge disjoint triangles, otherwise called triples, which partition the edge set \(K_n\) with vertex set \(S\). It is well known that the spectrum for Steiner triple systems is the set of all \(n \equiv 1\) or \(3 \pmod 6\) and that ...

Microstructure, Thermal Transport, and Dry‐Sliding Tribology of Powder‐Metallurgy Al7075 Composites Reinforced With Sol–Gel‐Derived ZnO–rGO Hybrid Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Sol–gel‐derived ZnO–rGO hybrid nanoparticles enable Al7075 powder‐metallurgy composites to achieve concurrent gains in hardness and thermal conductivity while markedly lowering friction and wear. The hybrid architecture couples ZnO‐based load support with rGO‐assisted lamellar sliding and heat spreading, revealing a promising route toward lightweight ...

SIMULATIONS OF THE PROPERTIES OF ELONGATED HEXAGONAL DODECAHEDRON SYSTEMS

open access: yesTASK Quarterly, 2014
This study considers a 3D basic unit-cell proposed for auxetic and non-auxetic foams namely the elongated hexagonal dodecahedron deforming through changes in angle between its ligaments (idealised hinging model). This structure was studied in detail for the potential of exhibiting negative Poisson’s ratio and/or negative compressibility by means of a ...
