ABSTRACT Understanding the corrosion behavior of glass–ceramic composite materials such as Fe‐Al‐BG‐Gd2Ti2O7 as potential nuclear wasteform candidates has attracted considerable attention due to their high loading of actinide elements and fission products compared to current borosilicate glass nuclear wasteforms.

We present a chronological (K-Ar), petrologic and geochemical study (major and trace elements, Sr-Nd isotopes) of Middle Miocene (ca. 16-14 Ma) calc-alkaline rocks (basalts to andesites) extruded in the present-day back-arc region of Central Patagonia ...

All‐solid‐state sodium‐ion batteries using halide solid electrolytes are evaluated for interfacial stability with high‐voltage cathodes. Decomposition energy calculations reveal unexpected interfacial instability. High‐throughput screening of 12 800 sodium compounds identifies effective coating materials that suppress interfacial reactions, enabling ...

Abstract The Late Cretaceous Oman ophiolite includes a series of volcanic rocks generated during the transition from spreading ridge to protoarc associated with subduction initiation. We analyzed major and trace elements and Sr, Nd, and Pb isotope compositions of lavas and dikes of the protoarc stage, especially boninites. We also analyzed amphibolites

On Sourcing Stonehenge Sarsen Stone #58: A Response to Nash and Ciborowski's Comments
ABSTRACT This is a brief response to Nash and Ciborowski's comments in 2025 on our 2024 paper, which focused on the reinterpretation of geochemical data for Stonehenge stone #58 published by Nash et al. in 2020. We address the problems they perceived in our use of absolute elemental concentrations, our selection of discriminating elements, and single ...

Abstract Novel compositionally complex borides, (Hf,Zr,Nb,Ti)B2 and (Hf,Zr,Nb,Ti)B2‒LaB6, were fabricated using spark plasma sintering process. (Hf,Zr,Nb,Ti)B2‒LaB6 exhibits a dual‐phase microstructure, in which (Hf,Zr,Nb,Ti)B2 is a primary phase with the hexagonal structure and LaB6 is a secondary phase with a cubic structure.
