Overview of Hybrid Solver in HFSS

2018 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation & USNC/URSI National Radio Science Meeting, 2018
This paper presents an overview of the hybrid solver in ANSYS HFSS for electrically large radiation and scattering problems. In HFSS v12, a domain decomposition solver was adopted to serve as an effective and parallelizable finite element preconditioner.

The development of HFSS

2016 USNC-URSI Radio Science Meeting, 2016
HFSS was the first general-purpose software product to solve arbitrary three-dimensional electromagnetic field problems. It introduced a number of new technologies in computational electromagnetics including automatic adaptive mesh generation, tangential vector finite elements, transfinite elements, and reduced-order modeling.

Design of radar antenna based on HFSS

open access: yes2017 2nd International Conference on Robotics and Automation Engineering (ICRAE), 2017
In this paper, a millimeter-wave radar array antenna with practical application is designed. According to the requirements of practical application of the speed radar, the actual detection range and return loss characteristics of the radar antenna are very demanding. At this request, the radar antenna array arrangement, through the power distributor to

Analysis of electrical characteristics of LPDA and HFSS simulation design

2011 4th IEEE International Symposium on Microwave, Antenna, Propagation and EMC Technologies for Wireless Communications, 2011
The electrical characteristic of LPDA is analyzed first in this paper. Simulation software HFSS is used to get the optimization design of LPDA, and the simulation results are agree with the experimental dates appropriately. This simulation method uses much less time and cost than traditional method.

Could taxes on foods high in fat, sugar and salt (HFSS) improve climate health and nutrition in Scotland? [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Cleaner Production, 2023
Foods high in fats, sugar and salt (HFSS) have a significant impact on public health, the climate and the economy. As such, it is critical to ascertain how pricing policies could help reduce their consumption in Scotland.

Liner impedance calculations using HFSS

AIP Conference Proceedings, 1993
We have calculated the leakage and coupling impedance for a holed beam pipe liner for the SSC collider ring using the HP High‐Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS). By using this code we were able to study various hole and slot configurations. We compare simulation results with analytical calculations and measurements.

Microwave Devices Simulation with Ansoft HFSS

2007 8th International Conference on Electronic Measurement and Instruments, 2007
Some microwave passive devices for applications in microwave moisture content measurement, including waveguide absorption type variable attenuator, optimum H surface horn antenna, optimum pyramidal horn antenna, were simulated by Ansoft's HFSS. Certain targets have been achieved, and it is a new attempt to apply the microwave simulation technology to ...

HFSS and CST Simulations of a GW-Class MILO

IEEE Transactions on Plasma Science, 2020
A magnetically insulated line oscillator (MILO) was studied using the simulation software packages high-frequency structure simulator (HFSS) and Computer Simulation Technology-Particle Studio (CST-PS). HFSS was used to find dispersion characteristics of the slow-wave structure and predict resonant-mode frequencies.

HFSS Based Small Patch Antenna Design

The Journal of the Institute of Webcasting, Internet and Telecommunication, 2012
Abstract Currently, we are living in the world of invisible radio waves with a variety of frequencies. As today's society is rapidly changing to an era of wireless communication, the importances of antenna(especially, small patch antenna) are increasing according to the coming of wireless mobile communication society.
