Quenching of 6s6d and 6s7d Hg atoms by Hg*-Hg, Hg*-Ar and Hg*-N2 collisions
Journal of Quantitative Spectroscopy and Radiative Transfer, 1986Abstract The radiative decays and collisional quenching of Hg 61D2, 63D2, 71D2 and 73D2 atoms were investigated by time-resolved methods. Hg vapour, pure or mixed with a buffer gas in a fluorescence cell, was irradiated with u.v. light pulses from a frequency-doubled N2 laser-pumped dye laser, populating selectively each state in turn by 2-photon ...

The purpose of this study is the comparison of two different technics of study of differantial capacitance measuredo on the hanging drop mercury electrode. For this comparison, the curves of differantial capacitance-potential aquired by measuring the of phase- current and by analysing the impedance spectra in methanolic solutions of KF and ...

For the first time, fully characterized and stable trinuclear "double sandwich" molecules are reported with Hg(II) ion using a highly flexible porphyrin dimer. The molecules display interesting and intense luminescence properties at room temperature. The present investigation clearly demonstrates that attractive mercurophilic interactions do play an ...

Computer-assisted systems can provide efficient and engaging ASD intervention environments for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). However, most existing computer-assisted systems target only one skill deficit (e.g., social conversation skills) and ignore the importance of other areas, such as motor skills, that could also impact social ...

Absorption spectroscopy on Hg+ and excited Hg in Hg-Ar discharges
Applied Physics Letters, 1990We describe an absorption spectroscopy experiment at 194 nm on Hg+, ground-state atomic mercury ions, and at visible wavelengths on Hg*, excited 63Po mercury atoms in Hg-Ar discharges. This experiment is used to map the absolute density of Hg+ and Hg* in the cathode region of Hg-Ar discharge lamps operated in the hot-cathode mode.
