Apocrine Hidrocystoma: A Candelabrum of the Eye – A Case Report

Indian Journal of Postgraduate Dermatology
Hidrocystomas are apocrine gland proliferations of the skin that are fluid filled and benign in nature. Two main types are recognised, namely apocrine and eccrine hidrocystoma, identified based on histological findings. Surgical excision is the treatment

The giant apocrine hidrocystoma

Journal of Surgical Oncology, 1984
AbstractWe report a patient with a large apocrine hidrocystoma. These tumors are almost always under 10 mm in diameter. In this 40‐year‐old man the tumor measured 20 mm. Apocrine hidrocystoma must be considered when evaluating a patient with a large cystic lesion of the face. Surgical management is similar to that of other benign cystic lesions of this

Pigmented eyelid hidrocystoma: A rare variant with diagnostic challenges

Journal of Clinical Images and Medical Case Reports
Eyelid hidrocystomas, typically benign tumors, develop from the sweat glands of the eyelids and present as skin-colored papules or nodules. The presence of pigmentation in eyelid hidrocystomas is rare and can pose a diagnostic challenge.

Pericoccygeal hidrocystoma.

AJNR. American journal of neuroradiology, 1998
We report the imaging findings of pericoccygeal hidrocystoma in a 52-year-old woman. Sonography showed a large cystic lesion with internal echoes in the pericoccygeal region; it appeared as a well-defined, low-density mass on CT, and as a high-signal-intensity mass on T1- and T2-weighted MR images.

[Eccrine hidrocystoma].

Der Hautarzt; Zeitschrift fur Dermatologie, Venerologie, und verwandte Gebiete, 1990
Most eccrine hidrocystomas are solitary, asymptomatic lesions. Multiple hidrocystomas are very rare and are probably caused by dilatation of eccrine ducts. Immunohistochemical investigations are helpful in distinguishing whether a solitary or multiple form is present. An isolated hidrocystoma can be treated by surgery or electrocautery.
