Apocrine hidrocystoma: report of a case

A case of apocrine hidrocystoma, mimicking a naso-labial cyst of the maxilla is reported. The histopathological features and treatment of these rare lesions is discussed.

Multiple apocrine hidrocystomas of the eyelids

We report a patient with multiple apocrine hidrocystoma (cystadenoma) which was characterized by bilateral distribution of the lesions on the eyelids. The disease is benign, but it may be a marker of two rare inherited disorders, the Schöpf-Schulz-Passarge syndrome and a peculiar form of focal dermal hypoplasia.

The Fine Structure of Apocrine Hidrocystoma

The apocrine hidrocystoma, a rare tumor of the human apocrine gland, was studied with the electron microscope. Intracellular changes from the normal included increase in number, size, and complexity of the mitochondria and secretory granules. The internal structure of the secretory granules suggested that these organelles are lysosomes.
